Lord I need help with my finances and the father of my son. He has left us and now he wants us out of his home. Help me with this situation. I really want my son to grow up with his mom and dad together but let it be your will.

Midnight Exploration: Second Night
The city's hidden sins demand exposure and repentance from those who enable them.
Home Again
Returning to God brings overwhelming joy that calls you to come home now.
A Bloody Monster
The monster of drunkenness destroys lives and families, demanding we reject it to protect our homes and future.
We join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord together in Jesus name, for we hear your desire to provide for your son and to see your family whole and your heart that says let it be your will.

We lift up your financial need and your need for a home. God sees your situation and He cares for you and your son. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and we trust His promise that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray that He will open doors for provision, for work or support, for wise counsel and for a safe place to live, and that you will seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We also pray that the father of your son will take seriously his God given responsibility, for if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith 1 Timothy 5:8. We ask God to stir his heart to provide and to act with justice and mercy toward you and his child, for God is a Father of the fatherless Psalm 68:5.

We also must speak lovingly about your desire for your son to grow up with his mother and father together, for we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed from the beginning. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Matthew 19:6, and marriage is to be held in honor among all and the marriage bed undefiled Hebrews 13:4. We strongly endorse holy marriage and we pray for marriages that honor God. If you and the father of your son are married, we pray earnestly for reconciliation, for forgiveness, for repentance where needed, and for restoration if it is Gods will. If you are not married, we must gently correct and rebuke what does not align with Scripture, for living together and sharing a home and sexual intimacy outside of marriage is fornication, and we are told to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer, not simply partnership or cohabitation, and we encourage you not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. We pray that if marriage is Gods will for you both, that it would be pursued in a godly way with a clear commitment before God, and if not, that you would seek to live separately in purity while trusting God for His best and for a godly spouse in His timing.

We notice your prayer says Lord but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you with love that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for all who call on His name will be saved. It is through Him we bring every request to the Father.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ for this dear mother and her son. Lord, you know her financial fear and her housing need and the pain of this broken relationship. Provide for her daily bread, open a door for a home and for stable provision, give her wisdom to be a good steward and peace that passes understanding. Work in the heart of the father of this child, bring conviction where there is sin, bring repentance and a desire to honor you and to care for his son. If it is your will, restore this family in holy marriage that honors you, and if not, give her grace to accept your will and to walk in purity and hope. Protect this child, let him be raised in the knowledge of your love, and surround this mother with godly counsel and the support of a Bible believing church. We ask that you make your will clear and that you work all things together for good for those who love you Romans 8:28. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to remain faithful in prayer, to seek wise counsel from pastors and mature believers, to be connected to a local church that can help practically and spiritually, and to trust that God will never leave you nor forsake you Hebrews 13:5. Keep submitting your will to His, for His plans are for your good and His grace is sufficient for each day.

We were so grateful you shared this with us. To be worried about finances and where you and your son will live, while also carrying the heartache of his father leaving, is an overwhelming place to be. Please know we are holding you both in prayer.

Your longing for your son to grow up with his mom and dad together is understandable, and the way you added let it be Your will shows a real trust in God even while you are hurting. That posture matters to Him. He sees your love for your son and your desire for what is good and stable for him.

In a season with so many practical pressures, it can help to get steady, personal support around you. If you have not already, we encourage you to reach out soon to a trusted pastor or a mature believer who can walk with you, and to seek clear guidance about your housing situation from a local attorney or legal aid clinic who can explain your options. A financial counselor through your church or a reputable community agency may also help you sort through immediate needs and next steps one at a time.

You do not have to navigate this alone. We are asking God to provide for you day by day and to give you wisdom and peace as you take each step.

Father, we bring this mom and her son before You. Meet their needs for provision and a safe place to live, grant her wisdom and strength, and surround them with caring help. Guide this family according to Your perfect will and draw them close to You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and your burden is deeply felt before the Lord. To face want with a little child in your arms, and to face the pain of a home divided and the threat of losing even the roof over your heads, is a heavy trial, and we bring it with you to the throne of grace.

We must first speak of the greater reconciliation, for all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ. The way of reconciliation is by the blood of His Son, and God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. Before we ask God to mend any earthly breach, we ask Him to make our peace with Him sure through simple trust in Jesus, for when we are at peace with God we can say we know it is so, for we have felt it, and from that peace all other mercies flow. If you have not already done so, cast yourself wholly upon Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and He brings His own provision with Him when He enters the heart.

You have expressed a tender and right desire that your son should know the love and care of both his mother and his father, and you have added in a spirit of submission, let it be your will. That submission is pleasing to God. Yet hear what the Scripture teaches concerning the relationship of which you speak. Marriage is not a mere convenience or a sharing of a house. It is a covenant before God, a lifelong union of one man and one woman, entered by choice on both sides and cemented by mutual love, wherein the two become one. It is far more than living together, and the Lord calls us to keep that covenant holy. What God has joined together is not to be taken lightly, and what is outside that covenant is not to be pursued as if it were marriage itself.

Therefore we will not ask God to bless simply a return to living together as before, for that would not be for your good nor for your son's good nor for the glory of God. Rather we pray that the Lord would lead you both into repentance and faith, and that if reconciliation is to come between you and the father of your son, it would be through a true turning to Christ and, if it be His wise and holy will, through a true marriage covenant in which you are given to one another before God in love and faithfulness for life. If that is not His will, we pray He will give you grace to walk in purity and peace apart, trusting Him to provide for you and your child.

This hour feels like a crisis, and indeed it is. The crisis of this world was when Christ died, the turning point upon which all history hangs, and your present crisis may become the turning point in your own soul where you find that Jesus is passing by to save and to sustain. He knows your need for daily bread and for shelter. He who sends the rod of His strength out of Zion is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.

We pray now for you.

O Lord our God, our Father in heaven, look upon this mother and her son in their need. Provide for their daily bread and for a safe dwelling. Have mercy upon the father of this child, wherever he is, and bring him also to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Work reconciliation first to Thyself by the blood of Christ, and then, according to Thy perfect will, work what is holy and right between these parents, whether that be a true marriage covenant founded in Thy truth or grace to live in holiness and peace apart. Give this mother wisdom, strength, and the help of Thy people, that she may train her son in the fear of the Lord. Let her heart be opened to Thee, for Thou bringest Thine own supper with Thee, and Thou art Thyself our Bread from Heaven. Grant that Thy will be done, and let Thy peace rule in this home. In the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.

Seek the counsel and practical help of a faithful local church in these days, that you may not bear this burden alone, and continue to cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

We are praying with you in this painful time and we bring you and your son before the Lord who sees your need. We ask our merciful and faithful High Priest Jesus Christ, who had compassion on us when we were without hope and made reconciliation for our sins by Himself, to draw near to you now and give you peace, wisdom and strength.

We pray that the Father will provide for your financial needs and for a safe and stable home for you and your son according to His goodness, and that He will give you counsel and practical help from His people as you walk through this uncertainty. We also pray for the father of your son, that God would work in his heart and lead him toward what is right and godly, and that whatever decisions are made would be done with care for you and especially for your child.

We hear your deep desire for your son to grow up with both his mother and father together and that is an understandable longing, and we join you in surrendering that desire to the will of God as you have prayed. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that living together and sexual union belong within that covenant, and so we do not ask God to bless simply continuing as before outside of that design, but we do pray that if reconciliation is to happen it would be in a way that honors God through commitment in marriage and through lives made new in Christ.

Above all we pray that you and the father of your son would know the true reconciliation that comes only through Jesus Christ and that you would find your rest not only in circumstances being resolved but in Him who promises rest to those who trust Him. May the Lord guide your steps, provide for your daily needs, protect your son, and lead you into His perfect will as you trust Him day by day.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
