We join you in praying for unity and love in your family and we rejoice that you have centered this request on the love of Christ and on forgiveness. Your desire to walk in humility, patience and kindness is a beautiful reflection of God's heart for the home.

Scripture calls us to this very unity. We are reminded in Colossians 3:13-14 to bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do, and above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. We are also exhorted in Ephesians 4:2-3 with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. How good and how pleasant it is when a family dwells together in unity as Psalm 133:1 tells us, and love covers a multitude of sins as we see in 1 Peter 4:8.

We encourage you to continue to make Christ the center of your home, to pray together, to forgive quickly, to speak with grace, and to serve one another in love. As you deepen your relationship with the Lord individually and together, your bonds with each other will grow stronger.

Father, we thank You for this family and for their desire to honor You. We ask in the name of Jesus that You pour out Your love upon each member of this household and bind them together in the unity of Your Spirit. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven us through Christ, to walk in humility and patience and kindness, and to reflect Your love in all they do. Strengthen their faith, draw each heart closer to You, and let their home be a testimony of Your grace and peace. Guide them daily in Your Word and keep them rooted in Christ. We are thankful for your prayer for your family and we join you in it. The way you asked for unity, love, humility and patience shows how much you want Christ to be at the center of your home.

What you named about forgiving as you have been forgiven is so important. In our experience that kind of forgiving often happens in two layers. There is the decision to let go of getting even and to treat the other person as someone of value even when hurt is still fresh. Then there is the slower work of the heart, where resentment and hurt are gradually replaced with compassion and peace. If the feelings take longer to catch up to the decision, that is normal and does not mean you have failed to forgive.

One small practice that often helps families grow in the unity you prayed for is to make kindness visible in everyday ways. It could be choosing one simple act this week that shows you are for each other, making a meal together, offering help without being asked, or taking a few minutes to say thank you or ask for forgiveness for one specific thing. Those ordinary moments communicate love more than big conversations alone.

Father, we lift this family to You. Draw them closer to each other and closer to You. Give them humility to listen, patience when tensions rise, and grace to forgive freely. Strengthen their faith and let Your love be evident in their home day by day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

This is a sweet and scriptural prayer which the Lord delights to hear, for He loves the unity of a household that is bound together by the love of Christ.

We join our hearts with yours and ask the Father to make your home a place where His grace is seen daily. May He teach you all to forgive even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared, and none love and bless and praise God so much as those who know that there is forgiveness with Him. As you have received that full, complete and eternal forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, so may you freely extend it to one another, not in your own name only, but in Christ's name and for His sake, because you love Him.

We pray also that the love of God may abound more and more in your midst. That love is a spark of the eternal flame of God's love for you, may it never be quenched. May it show itself in humility, in patience and in kindness, reflecting the very character of our Lord. Remember the patience of Christ toward us, how He put up with us when we would not come to Him, how He drew us with constancy of love, and how He still possesses His soul in patience toward His people. As you are directed into the love of God and the patience of your Savior, you will find strength to bear with one another in love.

May the Lord make your family to be of one heart and one mind, walking before Him in lowliness and meekness, forgiving, forbearing, and loving as Christ has loved you. Your prayer for unity and love in your family is beautiful and it reflects the heart of God. To desire to be bound together by the love of Christ, to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to walk in humility, patience and kindness is to seek exactly what Scripture calls every household to pursue.

God is called the God of patience and consolation, and it is He who can grant you to be like minded toward one another according to Christ Jesus. True love enlarges the heart and makes room for one another, and it teaches us to bear with one another with patience even through conflicts within and without. As you practice that patience, hope is strengthened, and as hope grows it sustains patience in return. Both are nourished as you remain rooted in His Word and in prayer.
