Beloved of All
Your prayer for salvation, healing and protection for yourself and your family is precious, and it is right to bring it before the Lord in the name of Jesus.
The name Jesus itself means the Lord is salvation. He came to save His people from their sins, and Scripture says that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. To confess Him now and to submit to Him as Lord now means salvation and eternal life. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord, but then it will not be unto salvation, it will be an acknowledgment of what was rejected. That is why the Bible says now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Do not put off what God is offering today. This great salvation is open to all, whosoever will may come, whosoever believes in Him will not be cast out. It reaches the lowest sinner and it is the only provision God has made for sin.
This salvation does not come by our works. We are told to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling, but that is not working for salvation. Salvation is outside our own ability. It rests on His grace and His work through Jesus Christ, and even the faith to believe is His gift, so that no one can boast. We are His workmanship, His poem, a thing of beauty made by grace. To work out salvation means to live out with reverence what God has already worked within us.
You also asked for healing. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Messiah bearing our sicknesses, and Matthew shows that this includes physical healing as well as spiritual healing. When Jesus broke the bread He said this is My body broken for you. God does heal, and He heals in many ways, sometimes instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes through the natural processes He created which are still divine. Yet healing is not promised in the same way in every case. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord did not remove it, but gave grace to endure. We do not always understand why some are healed and others are not, but we know this, your greatest miracle is not the healing of the body but the forgiveness of sins. Nothing is more important than salvation.
And you prayed for protection for your family. God desires to bring many sons and daughters into glory. Jesus is the captain of our salvation who makes a way for us to become part of the family of God. There is a bond in the family of God that is even deeper than blood ties, and when one member of a family comes to Christ it can open the door for others. His salvation is great because it is offered to everyone in your household who will believe. How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, but how full is the hope if we receive it.
So we pray together for you and your loved ones, that each one would confess Jesus as Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead, that you would walk in the grace He has given with a reverent heart, that the Lord would touch your bodies according to His wise and loving will and bring wholeness, and that He would cover you and keep you under His care. May you know His presence, His forgiveness, and His keeping power day by day.
