Beloved of All
We join you in thanking God for your desire to see your family bound together in Christ and we pray with you for this good and holy longing.
God calls families to walk in a way that reflects His love, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love and keeping the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. That kind of love is not cold or distant, but warm and kindly affectioned, honoring one another and putting others before ourselves. Out of that love, all good works flow.
We also hear your prayer for forgiveness, and Scripture reminds us that we forgive as the Lord has forgiven us. When we remember how much we have been forgiven through Jesus Christ alone, we are made more gentle toward one another and more ready to extend grace, knowing that we too stand in need of mercy every day.
Let us pray together:
Father, we lift this family to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Pour out Your love upon them and bind them together in unity. Teach them to walk in humility, patience and kindness, to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to bear with one another in love. Strengthen their faith, draw each heart closer to You, and let their home reflect Your grace and truth in all they do. Help them to prefer one another in honor and to grow more deeply in fellowship with You. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
