We join with you in this beautiful prayer for your family and we agree together for unity and love to abound among you in Christ.

Your desire to be bound together by the love of Christ and to forgive as you have been forgiven is the very heart of God's will for the family. Scripture tells us in Colossians 3:13-14 to bear with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. We also are reminded in Ephesians 4:2-3 to walk with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. And how good it is when families dwell together in unity, for as Psalm 133:1 says, See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity.

We pray that the Lord will strengthen your faith and draw each member of your family closer to Himself, for when each of you is rooted in Christ, your love for one another will grow deeper and more steadfast. May He help you to reflect His patience and kindness daily, to speak with grace, to be quick to forgive and slow to anger, and to bear one another's burdens with humility.

We pray together for you.

Father, we lift this family before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus. We thank You for the love You have poured out through Christ and we ask that You knit this family together in that same love. Help them to forgive one another freely as You have forgiven them, to walk in humility and patience and kindness, and to reflect Your character in all they do. Guard their home from division and strife, and let Your peace rule in their hearts. Strengthen their faith, deepen their relationship with You, and let their family be a testimony of Your goodness and unity. Let Your love be the bond that holds them together all the days of their lives. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing your family before the Lord in this way. Your longing for unity, for love that is patient and kind, and for a faith that grows deeper together is a good and beautiful prayer, and we are glad to join you in it.

We hear how much you want your home to reflect Christ's love, especially in the way you forgive and bear with one another. One thing we have found helpful to remember is that forgiveness often happens in two layers. The decision to forgive, choosing not to hold on to revenge and choosing to still treat each other as valuable, can be made even while hurt feelings are still present. The softer emotions of peace and warmth toward each other often take more time to catch up, and that is normal. Patience and humility grow the same way, not all at once but through small, steady choices to pause and give grace in the moment.

If it would help this week, you might invite your family into one simple practice together. Perhaps share a short prayer at a meal or before bed, and let each person name one small kindness they appreciated from another family member that day. Those little acts of noticing and thanking often communicate love more clearly than big words and help unity grow day by day.

Father, we lift this family to You. Thank You for the love You have already placed among them. Draw them closer to each other and closer to You, teach them to be quick to forgive and slow to hold offense, and fill their home with humility, patience and kindness. Strengthen their faith and let Your peace rest over them. In Jesus' name, Amen.
