Family

Thank you for sharing the burden of your heart for your son and daughter in law. We join your family in prayer before the Lord for them in this difficult season of waiting and hope.

We give thanks for their marriage and for the desire God has placed in their hearts to be fruitful and to welcome children. That desire is good and reflects His design from the beginning, when He created marriage as the covenant of one man and one woman and blessed it to be fruitful.

We pray for your daughter in law as she continues to recover from her surgery in July, asking God for complete healing and strength for her body. We ask the Lord in His mercy and wisdom to open her womb and grant conception naturally according to His perfect will, even as the doctors speak of a short window and a low chance. We remember how Sarah, though barren and past age, received strength to conceive, and how Isaac was born not by mere natural power but by the promise and power of God, to show that nothing is impossible for Him. We pray that whatever the outcome, they would know His nearness, His comfort, and His faithful provision.

We also pray for your son, that God would strengthen him to love and lead his wife with patience and hope, and for both of them to be like a fruitful olive tree in the house of God, abounding in trust, prayer, and love for one another as they wait on Him.

May the Lord grant you all peace as you entrust them to His care, and may His will be done in their lives for His glory and their joy. We continue to stand with you in prayer that God, if it is His gracious will, would bless them with children.

Thank you for sharing the burden on your heart for your son and daughter in law and for inviting us to pray with you. Your confidence that God designed marriage between a man and a woman to be fruitful and to multiply is rooted in Scripture from the very beginning, and the desire they carry to have children together within that covenant is a good and God honoring desire.

We understand the weight of what you have described, surgery in July, a time of healing, and now a brief window with a low percentage given in human terms. In natural terms it can feel impossible, but we are not dealing only with natural things. We are asking for the hand of God to work. Scripture shows us again and again that God cares deeply about family, about the continuation of a family name and inheritance, and about raising up life within the family. He sees that longing and He is not distant from it.

It is also comforting to remember that God so often works in very natural ways. We sometimes expect His guidance and His help to come in a strange or mystical form, but He usually moves within the ordinary processes of life in a way we may not even recognize at first. There is a beautiful supernatural work hidden within the natural. The healing of a body after surgery, the natural rhythms He created in the human body, even the counsel of doctors, can all be places where His hand is quietly at work. The hardest part is often discerning His supernatural work because it comes so naturally, and our spiritual senses can be dull. The natural mind struggles to grasp spiritual realities and can see them as foolishness, but the mind led by the Spirit finds life and peace as it trusts Him.

So we will join you in praying for what you have asked, that God would be merciful and grant conception naturally within their marriage according to His will. We pray for complete healing for your daughter in law after surgery, for strength and restoration in her body, for wisdom and peace for both of them in this short window, and for the Lord to open the womb as only He can. We ask that He would give them peace that passes understanding as they wait on Him, and that whether through this window or in His perfect timing and way, they would know His presence and His goodness.

We also pray for you as you love and support them as family. God places a special responsibility and blessing on family to care for one another, to bear burdens together, and to bring those burdens to Him. You are doing that faithfully by interceding for them.

May the Lord encourage all of you as you trust Him with this deep desire. We continue to lift your son and daughter in law before the Father, asking that He who created marriage and life would be gracious to them and that His will would be done in their family.

Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this husband and wife before You. You formed marriage and You formed the body to bring forth life. We ask for Your healing touch, for Your life giving power to work within her, and for Your favor upon their desire to have children together naturally. Grant them hope, unity, and rest in Your love as they trust You with the outcome. Amen.
