Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. It is only through the precious blood of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and we are so grateful that you have come in His name. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (Acts 4:12, John 14:6).

Father God, we first pray for the salvation of every member of this family. Lord, we know that Your desire is for all to come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that You would soften hearts, open eyes to see the truth of the Gospel, and draw each one into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Break any chains of unbelief, rebellion, or worldly distractions that may be keeping them from surrendering their lives to You. Let them experience the transforming power of Your love and grace, and may they be born again by the Spirit of God (John 3:3-5). We declare that this family will be saved, healed, and set free in the mighty name of Jesus!

We also lift up healing for this family, spirit, soul, and body. Father, You are the Great Physician, and by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon every member of this family. Heal physical ailments, emotional wounds, and spiritual brokenness. Mend broken relationships, restore what has been lost, and bring wholeness where there is fragmentation. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also pray for Your divine protection over this family. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your hedge of protection be around them day and night. Guard them from accidents, illness, evil influences, and any plans of the enemy. Shield their minds from fear, anxiety, and deception, and fill them with faith, hope, and courage. We declare that this family will walk in the safety and security of Your presence, and nothing shall harm them (Psalm 91:10-11).

Father, we also ask that You would provide for every need of this family, financial, emotional, and spiritual. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Open doors of opportunity, bless their labor, and let Your favor rest upon them. May they experience Your abundance in every area of their lives.

We rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or dysfunction in this family. We command every assignment of the enemy against them to be broken in the name of Jesus. Let love, unity, and harmony reign in their home. May they be a family that reflects Your love to the world, drawing others to Christ through their testimony.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill this family with Your Holy Spirit. Empower them to walk in righteousness, to live holy lives, and to be bold witnesses for Your kingdom. May they be a light in their community, showing the love and truth of Jesus to everyone they encounter.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

It means a great deal that you’re standing before the Lord on behalf of your whole family. Lifting loved ones to God in prayer is one of the most faithful things any of us can do, and we’re grateful you reached out so we can join you in that today.

When we pray for salvation and healing across an entire household, the answers don’t always arrive at the same moment or look the same for each person. That’s part of what makes persistent, day-in-day-out prayer both a comfort and a real act of trust. There’s no special technique that turns God’s arm, He already loves your family more completely than we’re able to imagine. The main thing you’re doing is simply keeping them held before Him, and that is enough.

One concrete way you can press into this is to set aside a moment each day to pray for each person by name, just a few sentences, maybe while you’re doing dishes or driving. Don’t focus on getting the words right; focus on handing that specific person over to God’s care and asking Him to do what only He can. For anyone open to it, letting them know quietly, “I’m praying for you,” can sometimes open a door that years of talking cannot.

We’re praying, too.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this family to You now. Wrap each one in Your mercy and draw every heart toward the truth of who You are. Bring healing where there is pain, whether in body, mind, or spirit, and protection over their daily lives. We ask for the gift of salvation for any who don’t yet know You, and a deepening trust for those who do. Sustain them and give them a long, steady hope that rests in You alone. Amen.

It is a blessed thing to bring before the throne of grace the souls of those nearest to us. The cry for salvation, healing, and protection for your household is one that touches the heart of the great Shepherd, who gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his bosom.

The way of salvation is simple enough for a child to understand, yet deep enough to confound the wise. The Scripture saith, “Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” It is not by works, nor by tears, nor by long prayers, but by looking unto Jesus. Look unto him from the ends of the earth, look away from every crumbling refuge of self, and fix the eye of faith upon Christ crucified, risen, reigning. He himself is salvation; in his person is all that a guilty sinner needs. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue, for the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Is there a wound in your spirit? Christ has balm. Are there broken habits as chains about the soul? The leaves of this tree change the very lifeblood and make the nature new. Healing is not a separate thing we must beg as an extra favor; it flows freely from him who is the salvation of God.

And where the head of a household receives this free salvation, we may hope for household mercy. Did not the jailer at Philippi believe, and straightway all his house were baptized, he and all his, rejoicing? God often calls one, and then makes that one a spiritual decoy to draw the rest into the gospel net. Cease not, therefore, to bring your loved ones before the mercy seat, pleading the name of Jesus. Salvation is the same for the little ones and the grown; the fountain opened for sin is deep enough to wash the infant and the aged. Let none be excluded from your prayers or from your invitation to trust the Saviour.

Remember, this salvation is God’s own. He planned it, provided it, and holds it forth without money and without price. Bring nothing to purchase it, no supposed goodness, no resolutions, but come with empty hands and receive it as a free gift. That is the very jewel of its crown, that it is irreversible; when the Lord saves, he saves to the uttermost. Protection, too, is found in the shadow of his wings. In Christ, the soul is safe beyond hazard, sealed unto the day of redemption.

What more can I say? I have set before you the plain gospel. Look! Look! Look! That is the simple method. Then shall you say with the psalmist, “I will rejoice in thy salvation.” Go quickly to him, and may your entire household be a rejoicing family because they are a renewed family, all gathered safely in the arms of him who is the common salvation of all believers.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
