Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your family in fervent prayer. The Scriptures remind us, "If we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us" (1 John 5:14 WEB). It is God’s will that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB), and so we stand in agreement with you, believing for the salvation of your loved ones. Jesus declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB), and we pray that every heart in your family would be opened to receive Him as Lord and Savior.

Father, we ask that You draw them with cords of love and kindness, breaking every chain of unbelief, pride, or worldly distraction that keeps them from knowing You. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word, and let the light of the Gospel shine brightly in their lives. We rebuke the spirit of deception and rebellion that blinds minds to the truth, and we declare that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18 WEB). May they experience the conviction of the Holy Spirit and respond in repentance and faith.

We also lift up healing for your family, spirit, soul, and body. The Bible assures us, "By his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB), and Jesus bore our infirmities so that we might walk in divine health. Whether the healing needed is physical, emotional, or relational, we stand on Your promise that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26 WEB). We speak life over every area of sickness, pain, or brokenness, declaring that by Your stripes, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24 WEB). Strengthen the weak, comfort the hurting, and restore what has been lost or damaged.

For protection, we claim the promise of Psalm 91: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2 WEB). Lord, we ask that You surround this family with Your angels, shielding them from harm, danger, and the schemes of the enemy. Guard their minds from fear, anxiety, and despair, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, rule in their hearts (Philippians 4:7 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, or discord that seeks to disrupt their unity, and we declare that they are bound together in love, walking in harmony and mutual respect.

We also encourage you to stand firm in faith, even when circumstances seem impossible. Remember the words of Jesus: "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26 WEB). Do not grow weary in praying for your family, for the prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16 WEB). Continue to sow seeds of love, truth, and godly example before them, trusting that in due season, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious gift of family and for the privilege of interceding on their behalf. We declare that salvation, healing, and protection belong to this family, for You are faithful to Your promises. We ask that You move mightily in their lives, drawing each one to Yourself. Break every barrier that stands in the way of their relationship with You, and let them experience the fullness of life that is found only in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we pray for healing, where there is sickness, bring Your restoring touch; where there is brokenness, mend what is shattered; where there is pain, pour out Your comfort and peace. Let Your healing power flow through every member of this family, bringing wholeness in every area of their lives.

For protection, we ask that You station Your angels around them, guarding them from all harm and danger. Shield their minds from the lies of the enemy, and let Your truth be their stronghold. We rebuke every spirit of fear, division, or destruction, and we declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus and hidden in You.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and strength for ### as they stand in the gap for their family. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in love, patience, and perseverance. May their life be a testimony that points others to You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name to break every chain and bring victory. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of this family. We trust in You and wait expectantly for Your perfect will to be done. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

It means a great deal that you’re bringing your whole family before the Lord like this, holding salvation, healing, and protection together in one heartfelt prayer. That kind of persistent, wide-open trust is a precious thing, and we’re grateful to join you in it.

When we pray for the salvation of those we love, it can sometimes feel like a long wait. We’ve found it helpful to remember that our role is faithful, daily prayer, even brief, simple prayers breathed throughout the day, while leaving the heart-change to God alone. It can also be a quiet encouragement to let those family members see a steady, unhurried peace in us, rather than pressure, trusting that God’s kindness draws people to repentance in his own timing. For your own need for healing and protection, we often need the same persistence: bringing our bodies, our minds, and our anxieties back to him again and again, believing he hears us without growing tired of us.

We’re praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this family to you, each person by name, each hidden need you already know. For any among them who do not yet know you, we ask you to open their hearts in your gentle, persistent way. Where there is brokenness in body, mind, or relationships, bring your healing in the measure and manner you see is best. Cover them with your protection, especially in the areas they feel most vulnerable. Give them daily bread of hope, courage, and faith to keep trusting you. We ask all of this in your name, Jesus. Amen.

You have prayed for salvation, healing, and protection for yourself and your family. This is a prayer most pleasing to our gracious God, for it touches the very heart of His great love in Christ Jesus. There is no other foundation for such a cry, and no other answer to it, than the Lord Himself. Salvation is God’s greatest work, and He bids you, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” It is not a look of merit, but of simple trust. The Scripture saith, “Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.” What is believing? It is trusting in Him, leaving the whole matter of your salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence. This faith saves the soul, and it is faith upon a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ.

What of healing? The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. He heals the wounded conscience, binds up the broken heart, and purges the soul from the sickness of sin. If you have looked to Him for salvation, you have also found the great Physician. His touch changes the life blood, alters the spirits, and makes the nature other than it was before. Bring your ailments, and those of your household, to Him in prayer, knowing that even now there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus.

You have named your family. This is a common salvation, yet it is made personal by a covenant-keeping God. Remember the jailer of Philippi: when he believed in the Lord Jesus, he and all his house were baptized into joy. God often uses one soul as a spiritual decoy, drawing the rest into the gospel net. Plead the promise of household salvation. Wrestle in prayer until your children, your spouse, and every one within your gates are renewed and rejoicing in Christ. It is no strange thing for the Lord to gather families to Himself, and to cause the ripple of grace to spread from the chief member to the least.

And what of protection? The salvation that is ours in Jesus is divine. It was planned in infinite wisdom, purchased by precious blood, and applied by the Holy Spirit. If I commit my soul into the hands of God, His honor is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep. The same hand that saves also shields. He that hath delivered us from so great a death, doth deliver, and we trust He will yet deliver. Yours is the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps, and His salvation is irreversible.

I charge you, then, to seek this salvation with all your heart. It is without money and without price. Bring nothing of your own, for as soon as you come with a price, you cannot have it. Come empty-handed, and receive wine and milk in abundance. Let no lurking self-righteousness, no fear of sin’s blackness, hold you back. Here is salvation for the blackest of sinners, forgiveness for all manner of sin, so full of grace that only God could have conceived it. “Who is a pardoning God like thee?”

Pray on. The mercy seat is open. Plead the name of Jesus. And then rise believing that He heareth, and that what you have asked in that dear name, according to His will, shall be done. Neglect not this great salvation. Make it your own, and make it common to your whole house. So shall your family be a household of joy, washed in the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness, and prepared for that united family above.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Salvation is the crown of all our hopes, so let us not imagine that a prayer of the lips alone secures it while the heart remains divided. You rightly cry out for salvation, healing, and protection, yet know this: no one part is sufficient for our salvation. What if you are free from open vice, yet are soft and unmanly in resisting the cares that choke the Word? What if you hear the gospel yet are remiss and careless, letting the deceitfulness of riches and the distractions of this world snatch away the seed? For Christ taught us plainly that hearing does not suffice; there must be careful hearing, continual recollection, fortitude, and deliverance from all worldly things. To pray for salvation is to commit to this narrow path, where we cultivate every part of virtue.

You ask also for healing and protection. True healing is the healing of the soul from the disease of sin that blinds us to our best interests. For the things that lead to salvation, the world counts as foolishness, but this is a mark of those who are perishing, not a sign that the medicine is weak. Christ came not to judge the world but to save the world, speaking words for your salvation, not for condemnation. Do not delay, then, as if you could put off your salvation to your latest breath. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. The remainder of time is not only short, it is the only season available. Do not imagine you can gain the whole world’s health and safety and yet lose your own soul. What is a man profited then?

But one thing more must sear the conscience: we dare not pray for salvation while adding sin to sin through an unlawful heart. If you pray also against your enemies, nursing bitterness, how can you hope for mercy? Such a prayer is an enhancement of your own guilt. The sufferings we endure, when patiently born for Christ’s sake, work a far more exceeding weight of comfort and salvation. As you are a partaker of His sufferings, so shall you be of the consolation. This is the path of true protection: to entrust the soul to the God of mercies who delivers, and to plead with tears for those who do not yet know the common salvation, even as you long for your whole household to be drawn in.

Let those who are putting off the Gift hear this and run to Him who takes away the sin of the world. He will deliver without labor of ours if only we will accept the Gift in earnest, immediate, and obedient faith. Lay hold of your own salvation now, and let your prayer be not a mere word but the cry of a soul truly losing itself to find Him, that you and your family may be doers of the Word and not hearers only.

Your prayer reaches to the very heart of what matters most. You are asking for salvation, healing, and protection, and the foundation of it all is that name you invoked: Jesus. His very name means the Lord our salvation. The angel declared that He would be called this because He will save His people from their sins. That is where everything begins. The greatest miracle God ever works in a human life is not physical healing, though that is precious; it is the forgiveness of sins, the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Nothing is more important than that.

The Scripture holds out a clear and urgent call. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. This is not about working for your salvation with fear and trembling, as if you could earn it. It is about working out what God has already placed within you by His grace. Salvation is His workmanship, a thing of beauty you could never produce on your own. He has placed it outside your own capacity so that no one can boast. And now is the day of salvation. There is no reason to wait, because every person who is lost is someone who passed by God’s final, gracious appeal. Your concern for salvation itself is a sign that God is drawing you; do not let that grow cold.

As you pray for your family’s healing, remember that healing is real and takes many forms in God’s hands. Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows. There is healing that comes instantly by a word, healing that unfolds gradually through the processes God built into our bodies, and healing that happens deep in the mind and emotions, mending wounds no one else can see. We do not always understand why some are healed in one way and others must wait, but all true healing, whether quick or slow, is divine. He created nature, and the recovery woven into our bodies is still His work. Trust Him with the timelines you cannot control.

Protection for your family also means understanding the new bonds Christ creates. Following Jesus can sometimes set you at a distance from your own blood relatives, especially when they do not yet share this faith. Jesus knew this pain; His own brothers did not believe in Him at first. Yet there is a family of God whose ties run deeper than natural blood. When you are brought into God’s glorious family through salvation, you become heirs together with Christ. The captain of your salvation suffered to bring many sons and daughters into that family, and the fellowship you find there will sustain you.

So keep praying in Jesus’ name. Submit to His Lordship now, while your heart is tender. Ask Him for the healing He knows you and your family need, whether of body, mind, or spirit, and trust His wisdom in how it comes. Walk in the protection that belongs to those who are His own, and may His love guide every situation you face, giving you kindness and wisdom in every response. Today, receive the salvation He offers. It is the one provision God has made for sin, and there is no escape if we neglect it. But for everyone who calls on Him, He will never cast them out.
