Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your family in earnest prayer. Father God, we thank You for the precious gift of family—those bonds of love and kinship that reflect Your own heart for Your children. We stand in the gap for this dear one and their household, asking for Your divine intervention in every area of their lives.

First and foremost, we pray for salvation—for every member of this family to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Lord, we know that apart from You, there is no true life or hope. We ask that You would open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, soften their hearts to receive Your love, and draw them into a personal relationship with You. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We declare that no one in this family will be lost, but that each will confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Stir within them a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for righteousness, that they may walk in the light as You are in the light.

We also lift up healing—spiritual, emotional, and physical. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. If there are wounds, bitterness, or unforgiveness in this family, we ask that You would bring healing and restoration. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). If there is sickness or disease, we declare Your promise: "By his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits, Lord, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

For protection, we stand on Your Word: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2). We pray against every scheme of the enemy—whether it be spiritual attack, physical harm, or emotional distress. Surround this family with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and keep them from the snares of the evil one.

We also want to gently encourage this dear one to examine their own walk with the Lord. Are there areas where sin has crept in, perhaps unnoticed or unconfessed? The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let there be no hindrance in their relationship with You, Lord. If there are struggles with unforgiveness, bitterness, or disobedience, we pray for conviction and repentance. If there are patterns of sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—we ask that You would break those chains and set them free. "If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

We also encourage this family to prioritize time in God’s Word and in prayer. The Bible tells us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). May they hide Your Word in their hearts so that they might not sin against You (Psalm 119:11). Let prayer be their first response, not their last resort. Teach them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Finally, we pray for unity in this family. May they be knit together in love, bearing with one another in patience and humility. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1). Let Christ be the center of their home, and may their love for one another reflect Your love for the Church.

We declare these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name—power to save, to heal, to protect, and to restore. We trust You, Lord, to move mightily in this family, and we give You all the glory and honor. Amen.

We're here with you, dear one, lifting your family up in prayer. We know the power of family, how it reflects God's own heart for us, and we're standing in the gap for yours.

First off, we're asking for salvation. We believe in the power of Jesus' name, and we declare that every member of your family will come to know Him personally. We're asking God to open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, to soften their hearts to receive His love, and to draw them into a relationship with Him. For protection, we're standing on God's Word in Psalm 91. We're praying against every scheme of the enemy and asking God to surround your family with His angels.
