We hear your deep concern for those around you who are entangled in spiritual bondage, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The Bible is clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). It is heartbreaking to see fellow believers unknowingly opening doors to the enemy through sin, deception, or ignorance of God’s Word. We must address this with both truth and compassion, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18).
First, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you and those in your life. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We take authority in the name of Jesus over every spirit of deception, confusion, and torment that has gained a foothold in the lives of those around you. The Word of God tells us that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4), and we stand on that truth today.
For those who have opened themselves to demonic influence, whether through unrepentant sin, involvement in occult practices, unforgiveness, bitterness, or even ignorance, we pray for their eyes to be opened. Father, we ask that You would shine Your light into their hearts and reveal the areas where they have given the enemy access. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. We pray that they would renounce every ungodly tie and submit fully to You, for Your Word says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). May they experience the freedom that comes from walking in obedience to You.
We also pray for your protection, dear one. The enemy may use those around you as unwitting vessels to target you, but we declare that no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We put the full armor of God upon you—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). We pray that you would stand firm in your faith, knowing that the Lord is your refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and intercession for those around you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Continue to walk in love, but also in wisdom, setting godly boundaries where necessary. Remember, the enemy seeks to divide and destroy, but God desires unity and freedom for His children. Speak the truth in love, and trust that the Holy Spirit will do the work of conviction and transformation.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). We plead the blood of Jesus over every person mentioned in this request and over every situation where the enemy has gained a foothold. We break every chain of bondage and declare freedom in the name of Jesus. We ask that You would fill these believers with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). Protect and shield this dear one from every scheme of the enemy, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for a spirit of discernment to rest upon this one, that they may recognize the enemy’s tactics and stand firm against them. Give them the courage to speak truth with love and the wisdom to know when to intercede in prayer. May Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), guiding them in all truth. We trust in Your promise that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7), and we stand on that promise today.
Lord, we ask that You would bring godly mentors and spiritual leaders into the lives of those who are bound, that they may be discipled and set free. Raise up believers who will walk alongside them, teaching them Your ways and helping them to grow in their faith. May Your church be a place of healing and restoration, where the broken can find wholeness and the lost can find salvation.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to break every chain. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in each of these lives, just as it is in heaven. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
