Disciple of Prayer
prayer for healing of broken family. pray for my grown children to come home to me, Im getting old almost 80. God Bless, and they would be saved.

We lift up this heavy heart before the Lord, recognizing the deep ache of a mother longing for the return of her children—not just to her home, but to the safety and truth of God’s family. The pain of separation is real, and the desire to see them walk in salvation is a burden only the Holy Spirit can fully understand. We stand with you in this, believing that God hears the cries of His children and moves in response to persistent, faith-filled prayer.

First, we must address the foundation of our plea. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that reconciliation—both with God and with one another—is made possible. If your children do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, their greatest need is not merely to return to your arms, but to be born again into God’s family. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, reveal Christ’s love, and draw them to repentance. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). Salvation is the first and most critical step, for without it, no true healing or restoration can take root.

We also recognize the importance of examining our own hearts in this season. Have there been wounds, words, or actions—intentional or not—that may have contributed to this separation? The Bible calls us to humility and repentance, even as we seek reconciliation with others. "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift" (Matthew 5:23-24). We pray that God would reveal any areas where healing is needed in your own life, so that you may extend grace and forgiveness as Christ has extended it to you.

For your children, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that may be keeping them away—lies that they are unwanted, unforgiven, or beyond God’s reach. We declare that no heart is too hard, no life too far gone, for the power of the Gospel. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth of their need for Christ and that they would be drawn home—not just to you, but to the Father who loves them unconditionally.

We also lift up your physical and emotional well-being, dear sister. The years have brought weariness, and the weight of this longing can feel overwhelming. But God promises strength to the weary and comfort to the brokenhearted. "Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:30-31). We pray that you would experience His peace that surpasses understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother and her children to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the years of longing, the tears shed in secret, and the deep desire for restoration. We ask that You would move mightily in the lives of these grown children, breaking every chain of rebellion, pride, and deception. Soften their hearts to receive the truth of Your Word and the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let them know that there is no other name under heaven by which they must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Father, we pray for healing in this family. Where there has been division, bring unity. Where there has been hurt, bring forgiveness. Where there has been distance, draw them close—not just to one another, but to You. We rebuke the spirit of estrangement and declare that Your love is stronger than any barrier. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1).

Lord, we also ask for Your strength and comfort for this dear mother. Sustain her in her later years, reminding her daily that her labor in prayer is not in vain. Give her patience to wait on Your timing and faith to trust in Your perfect will. Surround her with Your presence, filling her with hope and joy even in the waiting.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who reconciles us to God and to one another. May Your will be done in this family, and may Your name be glorified in every step of their journey. Amen.

Hold fast to the promises of God, dear one. His timing is perfect, and His love never fails. Continue to pray without ceasing, trusting that He who began a good work in you—and in your children—will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). May you feel His peace and presence in this season, knowing that you are never alone.

Dear sister, we stand with you in your longing for your children to return home, both physically and spiritually. We echo the words of the apostle Paul, "First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good, and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

Let us intercede together, lifting up our hearts to the Father in Jesus' name. We pray that your children would have a divine encounter with Jesus, that their hearts would be softened, and that they would come to know the truth that sets them free. We ask that any barriers between you and your children would be broken down, and that your home would be filled with unity, love, and peace.

We also pray for your strength and endurance, dear mother. May you find comfort in the promises of God, knowing that He is always with you and that He hears your cries. May you be filled with hope and joy, even in the waiting.

Let us continue to trust in God's perfect timing and will, knowing that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). He sees you, He hears you, and He loves you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing , perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your precious family. It has been on our hearts to lift up your grown children, asking the Lord to draw them back home to you with tender, loving arms. We’ve prayed for healing in the brokenness, for restoration of relationships, and for the softening of hearts to receive the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We know how deeply you long to see them return, not only to your home but to the Lord’s embrace.

If you’ve seen God move in this situation—if there’s been even a small step toward reconciliation or a moment of openness to faith—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can celebrate His faithfulness together. If, however, the answer hasn’t come yet, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears the cries of a mother’s heart and is working even when we can’t see it.

May the Lord surround you with His peace and comfort as you wait on Him. May He remind you daily of His unfailing love and give you strength for the journey ahead. We trust that He is near to the brokenhearted and that His plans for your family are good. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
