Family

We lift up your husband before the Lord with deep concern and compassion, knowing that God’s heart is for restoration and wholeness in His children. The struggles he faces—both in his mental health and with alcohol—are heavy burdens, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and deliver. The Scriptures remind us in **1 Peter 5:7**, *"Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you."* Your husband is not forgotten by the Father, and neither are you as you walk alongside him in this season.

The Word of God also warns us clearly about the dangers of drunkenness. **Ephesians 5:18** tells us, *"Don’t be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* Alcohol can cloud judgment, deepen despair, and hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in a person’s life. It is not the solution to pain but often a temporary escape that only worsens the struggle. We pray that your husband would turn away from this stronghold and instead seek the comfort and strength that only Christ can provide.

At the same time, mental health struggles are real and should not be dismissed or stigmatized. The psalmist David often cried out to God in his distress, and we see in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your husband’s pain is seen by the Lord, and we ask that God would surround him with His peace, bring wise and godly counsel into his life, and lead him to the help he needs—whether through medical professionals, pastoral care, or trusted believers who can walk with him in accountability and love.

We also encourage you, dear sister, to stand firm in faith and not grow weary in prayer. **Galatians 6:9** reminds us, *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Your intercession is powerful, and we join you in asking the Lord to break every chain of addiction, renew your husband’s mind, and restore his joy in the Lord. May your marriage be a testament to God’s redeeming power, and may you both find refuge in His promises.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this husband who is struggling under the weight of mental anguish and the bondage of alcohol. Lord, You are the God who heals, delivers, and restores. We ask that You break the power of addiction in his life and fill the void within him with Your Holy Spirit. Replace his despair with Your peace, his confusion with Your truth, and his weakness with Your strength.

Father, we pray for divine intervention in his mental health. Lead him to the right resources—godly counselors, medical professionals, or brothers and sisters in Christ who can support him without judgment. Surround him with Your presence so that he may know he is not alone. Give him the courage to seek help and the humility to receive it.

Lord, we also lift up his wife, who stands in the gap for him. Strengthen her faith, guard her heart, and fill her with Your supernatural peace. Help her to love him well while also setting godly boundaries that honor You. Unify them in purpose and prayer, and let their marriage be a reflection of Your covenant love.

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that would tell this man he is beyond hope or help. By the power of the name of Jesus, we declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and called to walk in freedom. Let this season be a turning point where he surrenders fully to You, Lord, and experiences the transformation only You can bring.

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, as you carry this burden for your husband. We've been where you are, and we know the weight of worry and the fear that can grip your heart. But remember, we serve a God who is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. He sees your husband, He hears his cries, and He's not surprised by the struggles he faces.

We join you in praying for your husband's mental health, that God would grant him peace, wisdom, and the strength to seek the help he needs. We ask that God would surround him with His presence, guide him to the right resources, and fill him with hope. We also lift up your marriage, that it would be a testament to God's faithfulness and a beacon of light in the darkness.

Let's keep standing firm in faith, sister. Let's not grow weary in prayer, for our labor in the Lord is not in vain. We're in this together, and we trust that God will answer our prayers in His perfect timing. Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, you're not alone. We're here, lifting you and your husband up to the Lord, one prayer at a time.
