Disciple of Prayer
My husband and I have been not getting along when it comes to the parenting of our son. He believes in one way of parenting and I another. My son’s behavior is bad sometimes and we are just trying to find what works. I pray that God helps us find what works for him and helps us grow together as a family and not drift further apart. I love my husband and son very much.

We lift you up in this season of challenge, knowing that God deeply cares about the unity of your marriage and the well-being of your son. It is beautiful to see your heart for your family, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and peace in this matter. The Bible reminds us in Amos 3:3, *"Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?"* Unity in marriage, especially in parenting, is not just beneficial—it is essential for the spiritual and emotional health of your home. When parents are divided, children often struggle with confusion, insecurity, or even manipulation. But when parents stand together in love and purpose, children thrive under the stability of godly leadership.

We must also remember that the goal of parenting is not merely behavior modification but heart transformation—leading your son to Christ and raising him in the *"nurture and admonition of the Lord"* (Ephesians 6:4). Discipline should never be about control or anger but about love, correction, and teaching him to walk in God’s ways. Proverbs 22:6 instructs us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* This requires both parents to be on the same page, submitted to Scripture, and seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance rather than relying on personal preferences or worldly methods.

It is also important to address the division between you and your husband. The enemy loves to exploit disagreements in marriage, creating bitterness and distance. But God calls husbands and wives to *"be subject to one another in the fear of Christ"* (Ephesians 5:21). This means humbly listening to one another, praying together, and seeking unity—not uniformity, but a shared commitment to God’s Word. If your husband is not walking in biblical principles, we encourage you to pray for his heart and approach him with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:1-2). If you both love the Lord, then your parenting should reflect His character: firm in truth, abundant in grace, and consistent in love.

We also want to gently ask: Are you and your husband covering your parenting and marriage in *daily* prayer together? Prayer is the foundation of a Christ-centered home. If you are not praying as a couple, we urge you to start. Jesus said, *"If two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 18:19). There is power in agreement, and when you seek God’s will *together*, He will guide you.

Lastly, examine your own heart. Are there areas where pride, frustration, or past wounds are influencing your approach? Ask the Lord to reveal any ungodly motives and to fill you with His patience and wisdom. Colossians 3:21 warns, *"Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged."* Harshness, inconsistency, or favoritism can drive a child’s heart away. Instead, let your parenting be marked by *"love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control"* (Galatians 5:22-23).

**Let us pray:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious family, asking for Your divine intervention and wisdom. Lord, You are the perfect Father, and You alone know how to shepherd the hearts of this husband, wife, and son. We ask that You soften their hearts toward one another and bind any division caused by the enemy. Help them to seek *Your* ways above their own opinions, remembering that Your Word is a lamp to their feet (Psalm 119:105).

Father, we pray for unity in this marriage. Where there is frustration, bring patience. Where there is pride, bring humility. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Help them to communicate with love and to pray together consistently, covering their son and their home in Your truth. Give them a shared vision for raising their son in Your fear, that he may grow to love and serve You wholeheartedly.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of strife, rebellion, or discord in their home. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Convict them where they have fallen short and empower them to parent with grace and firmness, always pointing their son to the cross.

We ask for breakthrough in their son’s behavior, but more importantly, in his heart. Draw him to Yourself, Lord. Let him see Your love through his parents’ unity and godly discipline. Remove any bitterness or resentment and replace it with a teachable spirit.

Finally, Father, we pray that this family would be a light in a broken world—a testament to Your redeeming power in marriage and parenting. May their home be a place of refuge, joy, and godly instruction. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, sister, in this journey of finding harmony in your family. It's tough, isn't it? But remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. He sees your heart, your love for your husband and son, and He's cheering you on.

Also, let's not forget to nurture our marriages too. It's in the love and unity between you and your husband that your son will find his stability and security. So, let's pray for your marriage, for your husband's heart, and for your communication to be open and loving.

Let's claim these verses over your family: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6) and "And what does the Lord require but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8)

And remember, we're here for you. Let's keep praying together, okay? In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your family before the Lord in prayer these past few days. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, asking God to bring unity, wisdom, and His perfect guidance into your home as you and your husband seek the best way to parent your son. Parenting can be such a challenging journey, especially when spouses see things differently, but we serve a God who specializes in bringing harmony where there is discord and clarity where there is confusion.

We are earnestly praying that the Lord has already begun to soften hearts and open doors for meaningful conversations between you and your husband—conversations filled with grace, patience, and a shared desire to honor Him in your parenting. We also ask that God would give you both a deeper understanding of your son’s heart and needs, so that you can parent him in a way that draws him closer to Christ and fosters a spirit of cooperation and love in your home. Most of all, we continue to pray that your family would grow stronger together, rooted in faith and bound by a love that only comes from the Father.

If the Lord has already started to answer this prayer—whether through small steps of progress or a breakthrough in your family’s dynamic—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be such an encouragement to others who are walking through similar struggles. And if this season still feels heavy or unresolved, please don’t hesitate to share an update or post a new request. We are here to walk with you in prayer for as long as it takes, trusting that God is at work even when we can’t yet see the full picture.

May the Lord continue to fill your home with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may He remind you daily that He is the perfect Father who cares deeply for you, your husband, and your son. We are believing with you for a spirit of unity and a renewed sense of hope as you seek Him together. In Jesus Name.
