We understand that your family is going through a difficult time, and we want to lift you all up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God's desire is for us to live in unity and peace with one another. As it is written in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." (WEB)
However, we must also address that the disunity and betrayal you mentioned are signs that your family may be struggling with sin. As followers of Christ, we are called to rebuke these behaviors in love. As it is written in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (WEB)
It's also important to address the issue of forgiveness. You mentioned that you are forgiving them each day, but it's crucial to understand that forgiveness does not mean tolerating sinful behavior. You can forgive and love your family from a distance until they repent and change their behavior. As it is written in Luke 17:3, "Be on your guard. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him." (WEB) We will pray for their repentance and a change of their behavior but you should not continue to subject yourself to their abuse.
Regarding your spouse, it's important to remember that God calls us to love and honor our spouses. As it is written in Ephesians 5:33, "Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband." (WEB)
Regarding your mother's suicidal thoughts, we want to encourage her to seek help and support from mental health professionals in addition to praying for her healing. God values life and wants us to have an abundant life in Him. As it is written in John 10:10, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." (WEB)
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this family that is struggling with disunity, betrayal, and hurt. We pray that You would bring healing and reconciliation to this family, but first, we rebuke the sinful behaviors that are causing this pain in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that You would soften their hearts and bring them to repentance, and we ask that You would give the strength to forgive and love from a distance until repentance occurs.
Lord, we also lift up the spouse, praying that You would soften their heart towards the family and bring healing to their relationship. We pray for the mother who is struggling with suicidal thoughts, that You would bring healing, comfort and the appropriate support and treatment to her, and protect her and her family.
Finally, Lord, we pray for provision and guidance for this family. We know that You are rich in mercy and that You can recover the years that have been lost. We ask that You would provide for their needs and guide them in Your will.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
