We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in prayer, seeking His divine intervention and healing. The struggles you describe—disunity, addiction, and unmet responsibilities—are deeply painful, but we know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let us first rebuke the spirits of division, rebellion, and addiction that have taken root in your family. In the name of Jesus, we command these strongholds to be broken, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Father, we pray for your wisdom and grace to flood this home. For your mother, Lord, we ask that you soften her heart to listen to your father with patience and respect, as Scripture calls wives to submit to their husbands as to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22). Yet we also pray for your father, that he would lead with gentleness and love, as Christ loves the church (Ephesians 5:25). May their marriage reflect your design—a covenant of mutual honor and care, especially in these later years.
For your sister, Lord, we ask that you convict her of her responsibility to contribute to the household, not just take from it. "If anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever" (1 Timothy 5:8). Stir in her a heart of gratitude and service, that she may honor your parents as the Word commands (Exodus 20:12).
And for your brothers, oh God, we cry out for deliverance from the grip of alcohol. This addiction is a snare of the enemy, stealing their health, peace, and purpose. We declare freedom in Jesus’ name, for "he whom the Son sets free is free indeed" (John 8:36). Surround them with believers who will speak truth and accountability into their lives, and may they turn to you, the only true source of satisfaction.
Above all, Lord, we pray for unity in this family. "How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1). May your love bind them together, and may each member seek repentance where needed, forgiveness where wounds exist, and humility to serve one another. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through whom all things are possible.
If any in your family do not yet know Jesus as Lord, we urge you to pray for their salvation, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Share the gospel with them in love, trusting the Holy Spirit to draw them to repentance and faith.
We stand with you, believing that God is able to restore what has been broken. Keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting in His perfect timing. "And let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9).
