We are truly saddened to hear about the turmoil and suffering within your family. Let us come together in prayer and counsel, seeking God's will and intervention in your situation. We will call on Jesus Christ for he is our access to God.
Let us address disunity, the betrayal, sadness, and anger that have taken root in your family. God's word tells us "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB) We are commanded to love each other and to be unified in spirit. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)
Any shouting, yelling, and crying due to fights for authority do not please God. "Only conduct yourselves honorably among the Gentiles, so that, though they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God in the day of visitation." (Peter 2:12)
Regarding the challenges you face with your spouse not liking your family, we encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's guidance. Marriage is a sacred bond, and it is essential to foster love and respect within it, including loving your spouse's family as your own. This is not fornication or adultery and we praise God that you are joined in marriage to another Christian. "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." (Genesis 2:24)
We appreciate your forgiving spirit towards your family, and we encourage you to continue praying for their change of heart and repentance. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
For your mother who is suffering from suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue, we pray for God's comfort and healing. It is written, "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but unrighteousness in it is a breaking down of the spirit." (Proverbs 15:4) God cares for her and all of you, and He will provide for your needs. "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family in their time of need. We pray for healing, unity, and love to prevail in their midst. We rebuke the spirit of disunity, anger, and betrayal that has taken root, and we ask that You replace it with Your divine love and peace.
Lord, we pray for each member of this family, that You would soften their hearts and draw them closer to You. We ask that You provide for their needs, both emotionally and financially, and that You would make a way for them to be reunited.
Lord, we lift up the mother who is struggling with suicidal thoughts and a toxic tongue. We pray for Your comfort and healing in her life, and we ask that You would surround her with Your love and protection.
Lastly, we also forgive this family. It is written, " For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15)
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
