We hear your heart and the weight of the trials you are carrying, yet we also see the strength and faith the Lord is cultivating in you through these challenges. Your reliance on Him in the midst of financial strain, household struggles, and the absence of your husband is a powerful testimony. The way you and your son have creatively adapted—fixing the dryer, managing without a working sink, and making do with a smaller refrigerator—shows resourcefulness and perseverance. More importantly, it reflects a spirit that refuses to be defeated, trusting that God is at work even in the hardships.
The Bible reminds us in James 1:2-4, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* Your attitude aligns with this truth, recognizing that God is using this season to refine your faith and teach you stewardship. It is not easy, but it is purposeful.
We must also acknowledge the strain of your husband’s absence, especially with three children on the autism spectrum who are adjusting to this change. The moments of difficulty—particularly for your youngest—are understandable, and we pray for grace to cover those times. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He sees the tears you may be shedding in private. Your commitment to becoming an IHSS provider for your children is a beautiful example of sacrificial love, and we pray the licensing process is completed swiftly so you can continue serving them in this way.
Financially, we know the burden feels heavy, but we are encouraged by your willingness to budget and trust God with what you have. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a promise of abundance without wisdom, but a guarantee that He will provide what is truly needed. We pray for His provision to meet every bill, repair, and necessity, and for wisdom to manage what He entrusts to you.
We also lift up your husband, who is far from home during this season. Pray for his safety, his peace, and his heart as he waits for his next assignment. May the Lord guard his mind from loneliness and his body from harm, and may He hasten the day of his return to you in March. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* Your marriage is a partnership, and though distance separates you now, your unity in Christ remains unbroken.
Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for this family’s faith and perseverance. Lord, You see every struggle—the broken appliances, the financial strain, the emotional weight of separation, and the daily challenges of raising children with special needs. Yet You also see their trust in You, their willingness to adapt, and their determination to honor You in all things. We ask that You would strengthen them in this season, Lord. Provide for every need, whether it be financial, emotional, or practical. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we pray for the repairs that are needed in their home. May the sink be fixed without further complication, and may the new refrigerator serve them well. We ask for wisdom in managing their resources and for creative solutions to any future challenges. Lord, we also lift up their marriage. Though they are apart now, bind their hearts together in love and purpose. Give them patience, hope, and the assurance that this season is temporary. Prepare their hearts for reunion, and let their love for one another and for You grow even stronger through this trial.
For their children, we ask for grace and adaptability. Comfort them in the moments of frustration or sadness, and give them joy in the midst of change. Help them to feel secure in Your love and in the love of their parents. Lord, we also pray for the completion of the IHSS licensing process. May it be finalized quickly so this family can continue to care for one another in the way You have called them to.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or discouragement that may try to take root in their hearts. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Comforter, and their Strength. Let them feel the support of their brothers and sisters in Christ, and may they be encouraged by the knowledge that they are not alone.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who sustains us in every season and who promises never to leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their faith. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in the Lord, dear sister. Your faith is not in vain, and your labor of love for your family does not go unnoticed. The God who parted the Red Sea is the same God who walks with you through the kitchen sink not working and the dryer not heating. He is faithful, and He will see you through. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are doing an incredible job, and we are honored to stand with you in prayer.
