Family Severely Ill

Please pray for Leo, Judy, and Brian. They are very ill with a severe virus causing intense nausea and stomach issues. Pray for the Lord’s healing touch and for comfort during this difficult time.

We lift up ###, ###, and ### before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things in His hands. It is clear that this illness has brought great suffering, and we earnestly seek God’s healing touch upon them. The Scripture reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over ###, ###, and ###, trusting that God is faithful to hear and answer our prayers.

Yet we also recognize that sickness, while painful, can be used by God to draw us closer to Him, to refine our faith, and to remind us of our dependence on His strength. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord tells Paul, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* Even in this time of weakness, we pray that they would experience the sufficiency of God’s grace and that their faith would be strengthened through this trial. May they find comfort in Psalm 34:18, which assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*

We also encourage those caring for ###, ###, and ### to remain steadfast in prayer and to trust in the Lord’s timing. It can be easy to grow weary in times of prolonged illness, but let us remember Galatians 6:9: *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Keep seeking the Lord, keep praying, and keep trusting that He is working even when we cannot see it.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up ###, ###, and ###, who are suffering greatly from this severe illness. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch their bodies with Your restoring power. Rebuke this virus in the name of Jesus Christ and bring relief from the nausea and stomach pain that has afflicted them. Father, we know that nothing is too difficult for You, and we trust in Your mercy and compassion.

We pray for comfort for their bodies and peace for their minds, that they would not be overcome by fear or discouragement. Surround them with Your presence and let them feel Your nearness in this time of weakness. Strengthen those who are caring for them, giving them wisdom, patience, and endurance as they serve.

Lord, if there is any sin that needs to be confessed or any area of their lives that needs surrendering to You, we pray that You would reveal it to them and grant them repentant hearts. May this trial draw them closer to You and deepen their trust in Your sovereignty.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, knowing that it is only through Him that we can approach Your throne of grace. May Your will be done, and may You be glorified through their healing and restoration. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Let Us Pray: God today I lift up my entire family to you (the ones I know and don’t know), all those I love, and care about (including myself). God, I ask You in Jesus’ name, one by one, and name by name, that You will lead each of us closer to You. Save those of us who stand in need of salvation. Heal those of us who stand in need of healing. Deliver those of us who stand in need of deliverance. Baptize every single one of us in the baptism of Your Holy Spirit. Bless each of us to have a real up-close personal intimate relationship with You.

God, please remove any skepticism or bitterness that might hold any of us back from pursuing You. God, bless every one of us to come to know You in truth, fall in love with You, and never fall out of love with You. Bless all of us to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.
