We have heard your prayer and we join you in lifting your family before the Lord, asking for His mercy, protection and restoring power to rest upon your home.
We thank God for your faithful love as a parent and for your desire to see your children walk in truth, honor God, honor their parents, and follow the way of the Lord. Your weariness and grief over division and disrespect are known to Him, and we ask Him to guard your heart and mind with the peace that surpasses all understanding as you continue to trust Him.
We pray with you for a hedge of protection around you and your children, for the covering of the blood of Jesus, for His angels to guard your home, your coming and going, every room and doorway, and for the full armor of God to shield you from exhaustion, chaos, isolation, jealousy and every scheme meant to divide your family. We ask that every plan to bring division, manipulation and control would be frustrated and come to nothing, for the Lord fights for His people.
For your older daughter we pray with special care. We do not ask God to bless a living arrangement outside of marriage, for Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that living together and sexual union belong within that covenant alone. Instead we ask God in His mercy to open her eyes to see this relationship clearly, to remove any false sense of obligation or commitment that is not from Him, and to free her from control, financial exploitation, spiritual bondage and the pressure to please others above God, family and her own calling. We pray that she would remember she is a child of the Most High, that she has a loving and supportive family, that she is not without a home or without help, and that she would turn again to put Christ first, to return to her church family, to honor her parents, to be grateful and humble, and to steward well the purposeful work God has given her, including the promotion you mentioned. We ask God to protect her workplace, her health, her finances and her future, and to give her wisdom to see the red flags, to understand that this young man is not her husband, not her father and not the one to direct her life, and to lead her swiftly and gently out of what is toxic and into safety, stability and wisdom.
For the young man and his mother, we pray that God would block ungodly influence, expose manipulation rooted in pride and selfishness, and stop any encouragement to live together or to have children outside of marriage. We pray that their overreach and disrespect would be restrained, that their divisive tactics would fail, and that God would also bring them to repentance and to the knowledge of salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for He desires all to come to truth.
For your younger daughter we join you in asking for steadfast protection over her studies, her health and her faith. We ask God to keep her close to Him, to surround her with godly friendships and mentors, to guard her from being drawn into an ungodly example, and to keep her heart humble, thankful and honoring to her parents. We pray she would hold fast to the biblical teaching that she should not be unequally yoked, and that she would in time seek a spouse who honors the Lord and the sanctity of marriage.
For your son we thank God for his life and for the progress He has given, and we ask for continued peace, joy and protection over him. We pray that he would always know he is deeply loved, valued and included, never a burden, and that God would shield him from mockery, hatred and exclusion. We ask for wisdom for you, for caregivers, doctors and the whole care team, and for your son to grow in using his functional language in godly ways to express his needs, and for the sweet bond between him and his sisters to be fully restored.
We also pray for you, for strength, discernment and financial provision according to Philippians 4:19, not for selfish gain but so your family may be a blessing and a testimony of His provision. We pray that God would restore what has been strained and broken, mend what has been torn, and restore the years that have felt stolen, as you have asked. We pray for godly spouses for your daughters in the Lord's time, men who will love as Christ loves the church and honor the covenant of marriage.
Continue to bring your family daily before the Lord, remain rooted in His Word and in fellowship with your local church, and seek wise pastoral counsel close to you for ongoing support and accountability. We declare with you that no weapon formed against those who are in Christ shall finally prosper, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and that the Lord will guard your home and fill it with His light, love, joy and fellowship.
May the Lord saturate you and your children with His Holy Spirit, remove darkness from your path, grant you safe travel and blessed days and peaceful nights, and make your family a beacon of His light wherever you go. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
