Your heartfelt prayer reflects a deep love for your children and a desire to see your home guarded by the Lord, and God hears that cry. He sees the weariness, the division, and the confusion that has entered your family, and His Word reminds us that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Scripture teaches that your relationship with God is primary. When that relationship is right, other relationships begin to find their proper balance. Many of the struggles in families can be traced back to a need to return to that first love with the Lord, that close and intimate relationship where you know Him not as a distant judge but as Father. Through Jesus Christ you have been adopted into the family of God, and you can come to Him as a child to a father, with confidence that He hears and cares. He does not want a cold or ritual connection, but a living and loving walk with you each day. As you abide in Him, He gives wisdom, discernment, and strength to face what is happening in your home.

For your older daughter, the situation you describe is painful and you are right to be concerned. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in the eyes of God. Scripture presents marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and it reserves sexual union and the sharing of a home as husband and wife for within that covenant. To treat cohabitation as if it were marriage opens the door to deception, manipulation, financial hardship, and spiritual bondage, just as you have seen. It also places a burden on her that is not hers to bear. A boyfriend is not a husband, not a father, not a spiritual head, and not one to direct her faith or finances. The controlling behavior and the pressure to choose that household over her own family, her church, and her work are not marks of a healthy or godly relationship ready for marriage. It is loving and right to pray that her eyes would be opened, that the blinders would be removed, and that she would hunger again for righteousness and for the biblical teaching in which she was raised.

The influence of an ungodly environment is powerful. Scripture shows how hard it is to live in a polluted setting and not be touched by it, and how jealousy and rivalry quickly create division when God's order is set aside. Just as God called Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family with the promise that He would be with him, we pray that your daughter would hear the Lord calling her back to the safety and stability of family and to the fellowship of believers who can encourage her in the ways of the Lord. She is not without a home or without support. She has a family that loves her, a faith that can anchor her, and a purposeful work that God has blessed, and she does not need to seek approval from those who would draw her away from these things or ask her to change her faith to please others.

We join you in praying for a hedge of protection and for the full armor of God to shield you and your children from division, exhaustion, jealousy, and every spiritual attack. We ask the Lord to frustrate every scheme meant to isolate and divide your family, for the Lord fights for you. We pray that any influence rooted in pride, manipulation, and control would be exposed and lose its hold, and that every generational pattern or spoken curse would be broken by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross.

For your younger daughter, we pray that she would remain steadfast and not be swayed by the example she has seen, but would be surrounded by godly friendships and mentors and would one day seek a spouse who honors the Lord and values the sanctity of marriage. For your son, we declare that his life is precious and deeply loved by God. We rebuke hatred, mockery, and exclusion directed at him, and we ask the Lord to saturate him with peace and joy, to give him patience and help in expressing his needs, and to restore the loving bond he shared with his sister. We ask God to anoint your home, every room and every corner, and to make it a place of light, and to grant wisdom to you, your family, and all who care for him.

For you, we pray for renewed strength and for financial provision according to His riches in Christ, not for selfish gain but so your family may be a testimony of His care. Even when relationships are strained, Scripture calls us to bless and not to repay evil, to share and to build up where we can, while still holding firm to truth. Continue to commit your family to the Lord, to pray with discernment, and to keep the door open for restoration with truth and grace.

May the Lord gently lead your older daughter to see the red flags clearly, to release the false sense of obligation that has been placed on her, and to step out of this entanglement into freedom, peace, and restoration. May He heal what has been wounded, mend what has been torn, and restore unity, joy, and fellowship to your home. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, who alone is the way of salvation and the source of true peace. Amen.
