Your prayer has been heard, and the weight you are carrying for your family is understood. The isolation, disrespect and ungratefulness you have seen in recent weeks, the hurt to you and to your son, and the division that has entered your home are not hidden from the Lord. He hears the cries of His children at the throne of grace, and He invites you to bring every burden there.

The Scriptures remind us that the battle is the Lord's. He fights for His people, and no weapon formed against those who are in Christ will ultimately prosper. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and through the cross Jesus has overcome every power of darkness. You can rest in that victory and ask for His peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind and the hearts of your children.

There is a right concern in what you have shared about your older daughter. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's eyes. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. Outside of it, that way of living does not honor the Lord and it opens the door to spiritual bondage, deception, exhaustion and confusion, as you have seen in financial hardship, mood swings, a sense of worthlessness and increasing isolation. It is not a path that leads to stability or to God's blessing, and it should not be affirmed or celebrated. What your daughter needs is clarity to see that a man who is controlling, degrading, selfish, lazy and dishonest, who shifts his own responsibilities onto her and draws her away from her family and her faith, is not ready for marriage and is not someone she belongs to. She belongs to the Lord, and her worth is found in Him.

Pray that the Lord will open her eyes to the red flags she has been blinded to, that He will remove stubbornness and replace it with a hunger for righteousness and for truth. Pray that He will frustrate every plan that seeks to isolate and divide her from those who love her, and that He will turn her heart back to Him and to her family. In Scripture, God called Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family with the promise that He would be with him. In the same way, pray that your daughter will hear God's call to return to a place of safety, stability, wisdom and love, where she can be free, healthy and joyful again, and where she can rebuild her health, her finances, her reputation and her future. That return is not a step backward but a step into freedom.

For your younger daughter, continue to pray for protection and steadfastness. Pray that she will not be swayed by an ungodly example or lured into the same path, and that she will not learn ungratefulness or disrespect toward you or hatred toward her brother. Ask the Lord to surround her with godly friendships and mentors who will encourage her in the ways of the Lord, and to help her value marriage as God designed it and to one day seek a spouse who walks with Christ and who will love as Christ loves the church. Pray that the sweet bond she has with her siblings will be guarded and strengthened.

For your son, know that he is not a burden or an embarrassment. He is a blessing, deeply loved by God and by you. Pray that the Lord will surround him with love, acceptance and protection, and that He will lift from him any confusion, mockery, exclusion or hurtful words that have been spoken over him. Ask God to saturate him with peace and joy, to strengthen his relationships with you, his sisters, caregivers and extended family, and to bring into his life people who will uplift and cherish him.

For your home as a whole, pray for the restoration of respect, gratefulness and fellowship. Division, jealousy, gossip and rivalry always bring pain, as Scripture shows even in households that departed from God's design. A polluted environment is hard to live in without being touched by it, and its effects reach every member of the family. Ask the Lord to remove ungodly influences and to bring godly influences in their place, to heal what has been wounded, to mend what has been torn and to make your home a sanctuary of His presence where love, unity and peace reign.

Remember that your relationship with God is primary. It is the vertical axis on which every other relationship turns. When that relationship is right, other relationships begin to find their proper balance, and when it is not right, other relationships become tangled. God does not want a legal or ritual relationship with you, nor a half hearted or lukewarm one. He wants a loving, intimate relationship. Through Jesus Christ alone we have salvation, and by His Spirit we are adopted into the family of God and can come to Him as Father. He wants you to know how much He loves you and to love Him in return with your whole heart. Out of that close walk with Him you will have wisdom, strength and discernment for every other relationship, including the vital bond between parents and children which God places in high priority.

Bring your financial needs, your daughter's health and breathing difficulties, and the harm of habits in that household before the Lord as well. He knows your needs and has promised to supply what you need according to His riches. Ask Him to protect your daughter's health, her finances and her future, and to guard your family from further debt and pressure.

May the Lord frustrate every divisive scheme, break every chain of manipulation, control, hatred and word curse, and replace it with freedom and restoration. May He heal the hurt you and your children feel, give you courage and strength, and restore unconditional love, joy and peace to your family. Continue to plead the blood of Jesus over your household, stand on His finished work, and trust that He who is faithful will complete the work of restoration in His perfect way and timing.
