Family Protection

Your prayer before the throne of grace has been received with deep care and we join you in lifting your family to the Lord who hears the cries of His children. We hear the weight you carry for your son, for your younger daughter and for your older daughter, and the pain caused by division, disrespect, isolation, gossip and mocking in your home.

We stand with you in affirming what Scripture teaches. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. Living together outside of marriage is not marriage, and Scripture teaches that sexual intimacy belongs within that covenant alone. For that reason we do not ask God to bless or affirm that living arrangement, but we do ask Him with you to show mercy, to open eyes, to bring conviction and to lead your older daughter into freedom and restoration. As it is written, we are to flee sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies, for we belong to Him.

We pray for your older daughter that God would give her a considerate and sober mind to see clearly. Signs and warnings alone do not change a heart without a willing mind to hear truth, but faith does. Just as Christ called the woman who came to Him in faith daughter and said be of good cheer thy faith hath made thee whole, we pray your daughter will turn to Christ in faith and find healing, clarity and courage. We ask the Lord to remove stubbornness and replace it with a hunger for righteousness, to reveal the financial hardship, exhaustion, control and degradation you have described, and to break any hold that keeps her bound. We pray He will frustrate every plan that seeks to isolate and divide your family and will guide her back to safety, stability and the love of her family, not with shame but with freedom and joy. We pray for her health, for protection over her body and mind, and for her future, her finances and her reputation.

We also lift up your younger daughter. We pray she will remain steadfast in faith and not be swayed by an ungodly example. May the Lord surround her with godly friendships and mentors who encourage her in the ways of the Lord, protect the sweet bond she has with her siblings, and help her to value marriage as God designed it, seeking one day a husband who loves as Christ loves the church, chosen not for money or outward splendor but for piety of soul, gentleness, understanding and the fear of God. A marriage built on virtue and order is far sweeter and more secure than one built on outward show, and when Christ is invited to be present in that choice He honors those who honor Him.

We pray for your son with tender love. He is a blessing, made in the image of God, and we ask the Lord to surround him with love, acceptance and protection. May he know deeply the unconditional love of God who has given us deliverance from evil and supply of every good gift, and who has made us sons and daughters through Christ by putting on Christ and receiving the Spirit of adoption. We ask God to guard him from mockery, exclusion, hurtful words and any spiritual attack, to fill him with peace that surpasses understanding, and to strengthen his bonds with you, his sisters, caregivers and extended family.

We pray for you, that God will give you strength, wisdom and peace as you stand in this battle. The Lord fights for you, and the blood of Jesus has overcome every power of darkness. We ask that your home would be a sanctuary of Gods presence where love, unity and peace reign, that what has been torn would be mended, and that every chain of hurt would be broken in Jesus name. We ask for provision for your household according to His riches, not for selfish gain but that you may continue to be a blessing to others.

Together we pray: Father in heaven, have mercy on this family. Bring deliverance from evil and supply what is good. Give great faith where there has been confusion, give order where there has been chaos, give respect and gratefulness where there has been disrespect. Turn the hearts of children to parents and parents to children, restore fellowship, and let Your peace guard every heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Lead this family in Your truth and keep them close to You. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
