Your prayer has been heard and your burden for your family is taken seriously before the Lord. The cry of a parent who wants to see children protected, united, and walking in truth is precious to God, and He invites you to bring that heaviness to His throne of grace with confidence.

You are right to stand on the victory Christ has already won. The cross has disarmed the powers of darkness, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. The peace of God which surpasses understanding is able to guard hearts and minds, and the Lord Himself fights for His people when they feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Continue to plead the blood of Jesus over your household, not as a formula, but as a confident trust in what Jesus has accomplished.

You have correctly discerned that living together outside of marriage is not marriage in God's eyes. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual union belongs within that covenant alone. When that design is set aside, it does open the door to spiritual bondage, deception, confusion, and hurt, as you have seen in exhaustion, financial strain, and division. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless that arrangement, but we can and do ask Him to bring conviction, clarity, and a way of escape. Pray that your older daughter will see the red flags she has been blinded to, that stubbornness will be replaced with a hunger for righteousness, and that she will understand she belongs first to the Lord, not to any man. She is not responsible to carry a man who is not ready for the responsibilities of marriage, and she does not need to defend a false image of him to others. Ask the Lord to give her eyes to see selfishness, dishonesty, and laziness for what they are, and to give her courage to step away toward safety, stability, and wisdom.

There is a beautiful pattern in Scripture of God calling His people back to family and to the place of promise. When Jacob was far from home, the Lord told him to return to the land of his fathers and to his family, with the promise, I will be with you and I will deal well with you. That promise is still true. God is a God who restores families and who turns the hearts of children to their parents and parents to their children. Pray with that hope, that your daughter would be drawn back not with shame or regret, but with a sense of freedom, joy, and safety, remembering the values and love in which she was raised.

Scripture also gives a sober warning about remaining in a corrupting environment. Lot was called righteous and was vexed by the manner of life around him, and God knows how to deliver the righteous. Yet because Lot chose to live in the midst of that corruption, it cost him deeply in his family and in the morals of his children. Even a person with a strong background of faith can be worn down when daily surrounded by ungodly influences. This is why your concern for both daughters is so urgent. For your older daughter, continued exposure to division, manipulation, control, smoking that harms her breathing, financial exploitation, and isolation will only deepen the harm to her health, her finances, her reputation, and her faith. For your younger daughter, pray that she will remain steadfast and not be swayed by an example that normalizes what God calls sin. Ask the Lord to surround her with godly friendships and mentors, to protect the sweet bond she has with her siblings, and to help her desire a future marriage where a husband loves as Christ loves the church and honors the covenant as God intended, rather than being unequally yoked.

Your son is a blessing, not a burden, and God sees his worth. Pray that he will be surrounded by love and acceptance, that any word curses, mockery, hatred, or exclusion directed toward him would fall to the ground and have no place in his life, and that his relationships with you, his sisters, caregivers, and extended family would be strengthened. Ask the Lord to replace any influence that looks down on him with people who will cherish and uplift him, and to fill him with peace and the knowledge of God's unconditional love.

It is also right to pray for boundaries regarding the young man and his mother. A mother has a responsibility to guide and correct her own son, not to place that undue burden on your daughter. Pray that manipulative and divisive plans to isolate your daughter and to turn her against her family would be frustrated, that pride and control would be exposed, and that your daughter would no longer feel she must earn approval or put down her own family to keep peace.

Bring your financial needs and health concerns to the Lord as well. He promises to supply what His people need, not for selfish gain but so they can be a testimony of His provision and a blessing to others. Ask Him to protect your daughter's health, her credit and finances, and her future, and to heal the hurt and exhaustion you and your younger children feel.

Keep praying for complete restoration, respect, gratefulness, and fellowship in your home. Ask God to mend what has been torn, to heal what has been wounded, and to make your home a sanctuary of His presence where love, unity, and peace reign. He is merciful, even when families are not thoroughly righteous, and He delights to lead His people out of entangling situations and into rest. As Ruth was offered rest and covering through a kinsman who honored family and covenant, so Christ our Redeemer offers true covering and rest for your daughters when they seek Him first.

May the Lord guard you with strength and courage, keep your family from bullying and hurtful words, and in His time and mercy, bring your older daughter to a place of truth and freedom, and restore your family to joy together.
