Your prayer has been lifted before the Lord with deep care and with sorrow for the heavy burden you are carrying for your family. The concern you express for your household, for the unity of your home, and for the spiritual and physical wellbeing of your children is heard, and we join you in bringing it to the throne of grace where Christ our mediator intercedes for His people.

We stand with you in affirming what Scripture teaches, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sexual union belong within that covenant. For this reason we cannot ask God to bless or affirm a relationship that lives outside of His design, for to do so would not be love and would not be truth. What love does is to pray for clarity, repentance, and restoration according to His Word. As you have rightly noted, to flee from sexual immorality is to honor God with our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit, and to walk in the freedom Christ has won for us by His cross, where He disarmed the powers of darkness and triumphed over them.

We pray for your older daughter, that the Lord would give her a considerate and sober mind to see clearly, and that her faith would be strengthened. Scripture shows that when faith is present, Christ brings healing and calls His own His daughters and sons. We ask that God would remove stubbornness and confusion, open her eyes to the red flags and to the exhaustion and division this relationship has brought, and give her a hunger for righteousness rather than for what harms her. We pray that any hold of manipulation, control, isolation and harmful influence would be broken, not by our power but by the blood of Jesus, and that she would be given courage to turn away from what is toxic and degrading. We ask that the Lord would lead her to a place of safety, stability and wisdom, whether that is to return home to the love and support of her family, and that she would know freedom and joy and peace rather than shame or pressure to remain. We pray that she would no longer feel responsible to carry or care for a young man who is not her husband, that she would stop defending what is harmful, and that she would see her true worth in Christ. We ask God to guard her health, her finances, her credit, her reputation and her faith, and to frustrate every plan that would isolate her from those who love her and from the Lord Himself, that her heart would be turned again toward God and toward her family.

We also pray for your younger daughter, that the Lord would keep her steadfast and protect the sweet bond she shares with her sister. We ask that she would not be swayed by an ungodly example, that she would not come to see living together outside of marriage as acceptable, but that she would be surrounded by godly friendships and mentors who encourage her to walk in purity and wisdom. May she be guarded from division and be given discernment to seek, in the Lord's time, a husband who is truly a husband and protector, a man marked not by wealth or status but by piety of soul, gentleness, understanding and the fear of God, who will love as Christ loves the church.

We pray for your son, that he would know every day that he is a blessing and not a burden, deeply loved by God and by his family. We ask the Lord to surround him with love, acceptance and protection, to silence every word of hatred, mockery or cursing spoken over him, and to replace any influence that looks down on him with those who will cherish and uplift him. May the peace of God guard his heart and mind, and may his relationships with you, his sisters and his extended family be strengthened.

We pray for you as a mother who intercedes with such perseverance. We ask that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding would guard your heart and mind, that the Lord who fights for you would be your strength, and that your home would be a sanctuary of His presence where love, unity and order reign. We ask God to heal what has been wounded, to mend what has been torn, and to restore fellowship and respectful communication where there has been strife. We pray for provision for your household according to His riches, not for selfish gain but so that you may continue to be a blessing to others.

We also bring this young man and his mother before the Lord, not with a desire for harm but with a desire for truth and correction. We pray that the Lord would convict where there has been selfishness and rebellion, that this mother would take proper responsibility for guiding her own son rather than placing that burden upon your daughter, and that both would come to know the Lord's ways and turn from what brings division and financial and spiritual hardship to others.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, committing these matters into His hands and asking Him to provide what is best according to His will. Virtue and orderliness in the home are sweet and pleasant, and a life built on the fear of God brings true joy. May the Lord grant you wisdom, endurance and hope as you trust in Christ alone, and may He bring complete restoration to your family in His perfect time and way. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Your prayer reflects a deep love for your family and a sincere desire to see them walk in truth and peace, and it is right to bring these heavy burdens before the throne of grace where the Lord hears His children.

Scripture is clear that our bodies are not made for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. That sin is described as a sin against your own body, and it is marked by selfishness, using another person for gratification rather than honoring them as God intends. To flee from that path is not to lose freedom but to find it, because living together outside of marriage opens the door to bondage, confusion and hurt, while God designed intimacy to belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. It is loving to want your older daughter to see this clearly, to recognize selfish and rebellious patterns for what they are, and to understand that she is not responsible to carry a man who is not ready to lead and love as Christ loves the church.

The Scriptures give us pictures that speak to your situation. When God called Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family, He added the promise, I will be with you. That call home was a call to safety and to the place where God would deal well with him. In a similar way, your prayer for your daughter to return to the stability and wisdom of home is a prayer for her to come back to a place where she can be strengthened and where the Lord can restore her. We also see the warning in the story of Lot. He was able to live for a time in a corrupt city, but that environment cost him dearly in the morals and unity of his family. The angels had to urge him to get out before judgment fell. That reminds us that staying in an unhealthy and ungodly environment wears down even a sincere heart, and the merciful thing God does is lead His people out.

God also gives us a beautiful contrast in the story of Ruth and Boaz. Boaz was a kinsman who acted with honor, protection and generosity, and who sought to preserve the family name rather than exploit it. The bond between Ruth and Naomi, where Ruth said your people will be my people, shows what a godly family loyalty looks like. It is very different from manipulation, control, isolation and division. A godly relationship builds up family fellowship, it does not tear it down or require a daughter to put a boyfriend and his family before her parents, siblings and extended family.

You are right to pray against every negative influence and to stand on the victory Christ has already won, for He disarmed the powers of darkness at the cross. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and no weapon formed against you will finally prosper when you are sheltered in Him. The Lord Himself fights for you, and His peace, which surpasses all understanding, can guard your hearts and minds.

For your older daughter, pray that the Lord will remove stubbornness and pride and give her a hunger for righteousness, that He will open her eyes to red flags she has missed and help her see the exhaustion and division this relationship has caused. Pray that she will stop defending a false image of the relationship and see the truth, that she will be given courage to release what is toxic and to choose freedom, safety, joy and wholeness. Ask the Lord to protect her health, her finances, her credit, her reputation and her faith, and to frustrate every plan that would isolate her further or draw her deeper into dependence and debt.

For your younger daughter, pray that she will remain steadfast and not be swayed by a wrong example, that God will surround her with godly friendships and mentors who encourage her to honor marriage as God designed it and to seek a spouse who walks with the Lord and will not be unequally yoked.

For your son, be assured that he is not a burden but a blessing, made in the image of God and deeply loved. Pray that the Lord will surround him with love and acceptance, protect him from mockery, exclusion and every hurtful word, and strengthen his bonds with you, his sisters and your extended family. May he know daily the unconditional love of Christ and the joy of belonging.

For yourself, ask the Lord for strength, healing from hurt, and protection from bullying and judgment. He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in Christ, not for selfish gain but so you can continue to be a blessing and a testimony of His provision. Ask Him to mend what has been torn, heal what has been wounded, and make your home a sanctuary of love, unity and peace where His presence reigns.

Continue to pray not only for removal of ungodly influence but also for godly influences to take its place, mentors and friendships that draw each member of your family closer to Jesus, through whom alone we have salvation. Pray that the hearts of parents and children will be turned toward one another again, as the prophet promised, and that God will bring restoration in His perfect timing and way.

May the Lord cover each member of your household with His protection, give you wisdom for every conversation and boundary, and lead your daughter with gentle clarity back to a path that will bless her life and honor Him.
