Family Protection

Your prayer is filled with the language of faith, and I hear the deep love you have for your children. That fierce, protective love is a reflection of how the Lord binds families together. When God told Jacob to return to the land of his family, He was moving him back toward a place of covenant and promise. That same call resounds today: a steady turning of hearts back toward the foundation God has established, even when detours seem to stretch on for miles.

At the root of every broken or strained relationship in the home is a relationship with God that needs tending first. The first commandments deal with our vertical bond, and when that is right, the horizontal bonds begin to straighten out in ways we could never force on our own. Your daughter's entanglement is not just a matter of poor judgment; it is evidence of a heart that has lost its first, intimate love for the Lord. A person caught in a polluted environment, like Lot in the city, finds it terribly difficult not to be touched by the corruption. The enemy’s scheme is always to isolate and deceive, convincing someone that a counterfeit bond is as legitimate as a covenant made before God. Living together outside of marriage is not a "lifestyle" to be managed; it is a spiritual fog that breeds confusion and bondage. Your prayer to remove the blinders is exactly on target, because only the Spirit can expose that what she calls a relationship is actually a weight she was never meant to carry.

The influence of this other woman, who has taken on a role that is not hers, is a sorrowful example of what happens when pride tries to override a family’s God-given structure. The proverb is true: "as the mother, so is her daughter," and a root of manipulation produces a harvest of division. Yet you have not been given a spirit of fear but of a sound mind. The Lord who delivered righteous Lot, who was vexed by the lawless deeds around him, knows how to deliver your daughter from a network that seeks to redefine what family even means. He frustrates the plans of the enemy. The very same God who wrestled with Jacob at the place of his return is strong enough to break the stubbornness and coax her back home, not with a spirit of regret, but with a profound sense of freedom and relief.

Do not be surprised that your son is sensing the spiritual turbulence in the home. When the peace of a household is under assault, those with a simpler, more open spirit often feel it first. The agitation you are seeing is not a permanent setback. Your dedication of every room and property line is an act of war, not just a gesture. You are, in effect, telling the darkness that this ground belongs to the Lord. Surround your son with that love and acceptance, never letting him feel that he is anything less than a treasured blessing. The beautiful, unforced care within a family is meant to be a picture of our adoption into God’s family, where we can cry out to Him as our true provider and protector.

I pray with you that your older daughter’s eyes will be opened, that she will see she does not need to defend someone who is not ready for the sacred responsibility of a husband. She is not homeless or orphaned; she has a loving family and a purposeful job. It is a mercy that you see the red flags she is ignoring. I stand with you in asking that every ungodly tie be broken swiftly, that the financial and relational drain stop, and that the door to this situation close firmly behind her. For your younger daughter, I pray she looks at this chaos and sees it as a warning, not a pattern to follow, and that she holds out for a spouse who will lead in righteousness and honor the covenant as Christ loves the church.

The peace that surpasses understanding is not a delicate, fragile thing. It is a garrison, a wall of defense. It will guard your heart and your mind. Keep bringing your family back to that first, living relationship with God. This is not a ritual or a mere cry for help in a crisis; it is your lifeline. The Father wants a loving relationship with you, not a legal one. He will continue to shine His light into every dark space in your home, restoring the unity and joy that the enemy has tried to steal. You have His promise: the Lord fights for you, and the weapons aimed at you will not prosper.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the sacred privilege of standing in prayer with you for your family’s protection, restoration, and deliverance. It was our honor to lift up each of your children by name, to plead the blood of Jesus over your home, and to declare God’s authority over every scheme of the enemy. We prayed fervently for the hedge of protection to surround your household, for wisdom to guide your steps, and for the Holy Spirit to saturate every corner of your lives with His peace—the kind that surpasses all understanding.

We continue to stand in agreement with you, believing that God is already at work in each of these situations. If the Lord has moved mightily on your behalf—if your daughter has been set free from that toxic relationship, if your son’s peace has been restored, or if unity and healing have begun to flow in your family—we would love to rejoice with you! The enemy’s plans *will not stand*—we declare it in Jesus’ name! The Lord fights for you, and we stand with you in that truth.

May the Father continue to strengthen you with His might, fill you with His wisdom, and surround you with His unfailing love. May His peace guard your heart, His joy sustain you, and His presence go before you in every situation. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.
