We join you in fervent prayer, seeking God's intervention and guidance for your family, your church, and the challenges you're facing, including addiction. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the promise that when we gather in Jesus' name, He is among us (Matthew 18:20 WEB). The name of Jesus is the only name by which we can be saved and is the name that we can pray to God.
Firstly, we address the issue of addiction. Addiction is a form of bondage, and God wants us to be free indeed (John 8:36 WEB). We pray that the one struggling with addiction will turn to God, confess their struggle, and find strength in Him to overcome (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). Remember, "Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB).
For your family, we pray for God's protection and guidance. May He surround you with His favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12 WEB). We pray for unity in your family, that you may be united, standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel (Philippians 1:27 WEB).
Regarding your church, we pray that God will ignite a spiritual revival. May He turn the hearts of His people back to Him, may they seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, so that He will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB).
For the decisions you face, we pray for wisdom from above. God promises that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 WEB).
We also pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
Lastly, we pray for clarity. May God guide you and direct you in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake (Psalm 23:3 WEB). May He order your steps and establish your goings (Psalm 37:23 WEB).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this beloved family to You. We pray for freedom from addiction, for protection, unity, and wisdom. We ask that You turn Your church around, that Your people may seek Your face once again. We claim Your promise of peace and clarity. May Your will be done and Your name be glorified. This we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
