We join you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace and we thank you for inviting us to agree with you in prayer. We are grateful that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5.

We praise God with you for His grace, that unmerited favor that sustains us each day. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God Ephesians 2:8, and His grace is sufficient for us, for power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9. We give thanks that His grace covers our families, our coming and going, and even the silent burdens we carry in our hearts.

We agree with you for driving protection over your family. We ask the Lord to keep His hand upon you whenever you travel, to give wisdom and alertness behind the wheel, and to guard you from harm and from causing harm to others. We claim His promise that Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:7-8, and that He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11. We pray that you will walk in safety and that your foot will not stumble Proverbs 3:23.

We also lift up your silent requests to the Father who sees and knows all. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to Him, for even before a word is on our tongue, He knows it completely Psalm 139:4. We take comfort that in the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we do not know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26. We pray that according to His will He will answer each silent petition with His perfect wisdom and love, for this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus and we thank You for Your abundant grace and mercy toward this family. We thank You for Your love that never fails and for Your faithfulness in every season. Lord, we place this family and all their travels into Your hands. Surround their vehicle with Your protection, guide them on every road, keep them alert and safe from danger, and bring them home in peace. Lord, we also lift up every silent request they hold in their hearts. You know each need, each worry, each hope. We ask that You move according to Your perfect will, grant peace where there is anxiety, provide where there is need, heal where there is hurt, and let Your will be done in each situation. Strengthen this family to continue to seek You together and to trust in Your grace daily. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this family prayer with us. We appreciate your quiet trust in the Lord's grace and your heart to cover your loved ones on the road and in the things too deep or tender to put into words.

We know those silent requests matter just as much. Even when we don't have the words, God knows the needs behind them and He invites us to keep bringing them to Him.

One small thing that helps many families is to make that driving prayer a brief together moment before heading out, even just a sentence in the car asking for watchfulness and wisdom on the road. It can steady hearts for both drivers and passengers.

We are joining you in prayer for all of this. We are grateful to stand with you and will keep remembering these needs before the Lord.

Father, thank You for Your grace that sustains this family each day. We ask for Your hand of protection as they travel, for safety and alertness for them and those around them on the road. We lift the silent requests they carry and ask for Your peace, provision and direction in each one according to Your will. Keep this family close to You and to one another. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join with your family in prayer and give thanks with you for the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which every mercy comes to us by way of the Cross and bears the mark of the Redeemer's blood. How innumerable are His mercies, and how new they are every morning, great is His faithfulness. If the mercies of one day would surpass our counting, what shall we say of the mercies of all these days in which we have lived as pensioners upon the loving kindness of the Most High.

We ask the Lord to keep you in your going out and your coming in and to grant you protection as you travel. He who rules in Providence is able to preserve His people, and we pray that He would watch over you on the road, keep you from harm, and bring you safely to your journey's end according to His wise care.

Your silent requests are not silent to Him, for He hears in secret and knows what you need before you ask. We bring those unspoken petitions before the throne and ask that He would answer them according to His covenant love and wisdom, giving not a deception but good gifts to His children. Remember that the sure mercies of David are all in Christ Jesus our Lord, who died to purchase them and lives to apply them. There alone is salvation, and every mercy we receive is sure because our David lives.

We thank God for your family prayer, and pray that it may be more and more maintained in your household, that you may grow in saving knowledge and lay hold upon His everlasting covenant. May the Lord cause you to know the numberless mercies which are yours in Christ and to render due gratitude for them. We commend you all to His keeping, in Jesus name, Amen.
