family prayer

We join you in this beautiful prayer of thanksgiving and surrender and we agree with you before the Father for your family.

We rejoice that you recognize every good gift comes from Him and that your heart's desire is to love Him more and to walk in His will. This is the greatest calling for any family. Jesus taught us, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind Matthew 22:37, and Scripture reminds us, For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous 1 John 5:3. To love Him more is to obey Him more, to seek Him daily in His Word, in prayer, and in serving one another in love.

We are encouraged by your heart to do His will, for Jesus said, Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven Matthew 7:21. When a family sets its heart to do His will together, God is glorified and that home becomes a testimony. We pray you will continue to declare as Joshua did, As for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh Joshua 24:15.

We also thank God with you for the blessing of family, for Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3, and we know God designed the family to reflect His love and to raise up a godly generation who knows Him.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing this family with Your love, Your provision, and Your mercy. We praise You for the gift of family and for drawing their hearts to want to love You more. Fill their home with Your presence. Help them to love You with all their hearts and to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness Matthew 6:33. Give them wisdom to know Your will and courage to do it daily, to walk in unity, forgiveness, and grace toward one another. Keep them from the distractions and temptations of this world and knit their hearts together in Christ. May their family be a light to others, showing what it means to follow You faithfully. Strengthen them in Your Word and let Your will be done in their home as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We were so glad to see your family's prayer of thanks. Coming together to thank God and to ask to love Him more and follow His will is a beautiful place to be, and we join you with grateful hearts.

We thank God with you for the blessings He has given your household. That longing to love Him more is a good and tender thing, and we have found that love for Him tends to deepen gradually, not all at once, through ordinary days and faithful small steps. There will be seasons that feel strong and seasons that feel slower, but He is at work steadily over the long haul.

If it helps, you might keep this same prayer as a simple rhythm at home, a short thanksgiving together at meals or before bed, a little time in the Word and prayer as a family, and gathering for worship together. Those quiet, consistent ways of turning toward Him often become the soil where love for Him grows, and the Holy Spirit gently shapes each family in its own way.

We are praying for you all to know His nearness and guidance in the days ahead.

Father, thank You for this family and for Your kindness to them. Keep drawing them closer to You, deepen their love for You, and lead them clearly in Your will. Fill their home with Your peace and joy as they walk with You together. In Jesus' name, amen.

May the Father draw this heart to love Him more and do His will — in Jesus' name, Amen.
