Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your family is heard and it reflects the heart God desires for you. To ask for His protection, His healing, your love for Him to grow, and your deliverance from evil is to ask for what He most wants to give.
God is your true protector and healer. His healing is first and deepest for the soul, the forgiveness of sin and the cleansing of the heart, and from that flows His care for the body and for every need in the home. When Jesus walked on earth He showed His authority in every realm, healing sickness and infirmity and commanding evil spirits with a word, and they obeyed Him. There is no power of darkness that is greater than His power, and as you call on His name He is able to keep you and to set you free.
A growing love for God is tied to how we view evil. Scripture teaches that the fear of the Lord is to hate evil, and the beginning of wisdom is to turn away from it. Evil always asks to be tolerated and to be compromised with, but we are called not to tolerate it but to hate what God hates and to love what He loves. To depart from evil is not a burden but a path to life and health, for when we honor the Lord and turn from the way of darkness, He brings strength and wholeness.
This also means watching the path your feet take as a family. Do not go in the way of those who walk in darkness or linger near it, but turn from it and pass it by. To leave the upright path always ends in grief, while to stay on the Lord's path keeps the heart and the home under His covering. God in His mercy continually calls us to turn from anything that would destroy us or those around us, so that He may forgive our sin and restore us.
We join you in prayer that the Lord will keep you from evil in every form, including the evil of rebellion and disobedience in our own hearts, that He will guard your household, heal what is broken, and cause your love for Him to deepen day by day. May He establish your ways, keep your eyes looking straight ahead toward Him, and deliver you fully from the power of darkness through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
