Disciple of Prayer
Lord I pray that You will touch and heal my brother, Kevin. Please remove the thought of needing drugs and alcohol to live from his mind. My mom and I were with him when he recently detoxed, but as an addict he is ungrateful and continues to blame everyone but himself for the way he is. He chose that lifestyle. I ask that You reach out and touch and heal him. Take away the demons that are trying to destroy him. I pray for his girlfriend that you will get her off of H as well. Please help her and her family to be able to grow together and help her to find someone else to make her happy. I pray the same for Kevin. Please let him find someone who is drug and alcohol free to share himself with. Please let him stop worrying so much about Victoria and start caring more about himself and his recovery. The two of them are bad for each other. I ask that you heal my mom's heart as well as mine as it kills us inside to see Keving the way he is. He is such a talented individual with a kind heart, but he has been lost since my dad passed away. He used drugs to numb the pain and never talked to anyone about it or dealt with it correctly. Please God, let him get to know You and put his trust in You. I pray that you will talk to him in his dreams and let him know that You are the one true God and that You can and will save him. Please help him to let go of the people from the past and move forward meeting and getting to know better people that are not addicts. Keep my mom healthy as well. I worry about her because she prays and prays and nothing is happening. We finally got Kevin out of Vegas, but he just wants to come right back so he can see his girlfriend who is still using. Thank you for saving him from himself when he was detoxing. Please take that horrible memory out of our minds as it was one of the scariest things I have ever seen. I just want my brother back and my mom wants her son back. Please help Kevin to take down these walls that are binding him. Watch over my mom and keep her safe as well. I need her around since I have no dad.
I also pray that you help me with whatever physical ailment that I am having. This bladder infection was horrible, but the antibiotics seemed to have worked a couple of weeks ago. Please let it be gone because it is still bothering me a bit. Touch and heal my body Lord and remove all illness.
Be with the sick and with the needy. Thank you for the many blessings - especially for my beautiful family. Please continue to work on my marriage and keep Dennis and I strong and going for the rest of our days. I ask all of these things in Your name and the name of Jesus. Amen.
