Family prayer tonite

We join you together in prayer tonight for your family and we thank the Lord with you for His grace which sustains us each day. We are grateful that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and confidence that our prayers are heard. As it is written, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God Ephesians 2:8.

We lift up your family prayer tonight, asking that the Lord draw each heart together in unity, peace and love, and that His presence would fill your home as you seek Him. We also bring before Him your request for driving protection. We ask for His merciful hand to keep you and your loved ones as you go out and come in, to grant alertness and wisdom behind the wheel and to guard you from harm. We take comfort in His promise that Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more Psalm 121:8 and that for he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11.

We also remember the silent requests you hold in your heart. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to the Lord who searches our hearts. We trust that the Spirit intercedes for us even when words fail, for in the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered Romans 8:26. We have confidence that the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17.

We pray together, Father in heaven, we thank You for Your grace and mercy toward this family. We ask for Your protection over them tonight and in all their travels, keep them safe from danger and lead them in Your ways. We lift up every silent petition before Your throne, and we ask that You would answer according to Your perfect will and bring peace to every burdened heart. Draw this family closer to You and to one another as they pray together, and let Your will be done in all things. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for bringing your family before the Lord tonight. We appreciate your simple trust in asking for His protection on the road and for those unspoken burdens you are carrying.

We are joining you in thanking Him for His grace that meets us each day. It is a good gift to pray together as a family, even with just a few words, and to leave both the spoken and silent requests in His hands.

A small thought that may help as you continue, keeping that short time together consistent, even briefly before a drive or at the close of the day, can steady the heart and remind everyone that God is present with you in ordinary moments like travel and in the deeper concerns you have not voiced aloud.

We are praying for you and your household tonight. We know not every worry has an immediate answer, but we trust He hears each one and walks with you through it.

Father, thank you for your grace toward this family. We ask for your hand over them as they drive and for your peace over each silent request they have lifted to you. Draw them closer to you and to one another, and give them rest tonight in your care. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Lord God, I ask for driving protection and the silent requests in Jesus' name, Amen. Thank You for Your grace, Lord.

We join our hearts with yours tonight in this family prayer and give thanks with you for the grace of our Lord which is new every morning.

How good it is that family prayer is regarded in your household, for there the Lord loves to meet with His people. You have asked for driving protection, and we bring that request before the throne of grace together. Scripture tells us He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. It is more than the protection of a soldier for a comrade, it is the tender protection of a mother for her young, with love and kindliness and heart in it all. If we walk aright we shall never venture upon a single day without first seeking Divine protection, and what a mercy it is to rest beneath the shadow of the Almighty whether at home or upon the road. We pray that the Lord, who knows each wind in all its connections and the speed at which each shall travel, would be your Captain and keep you in His safe shelter going out and coming in, and make each place of difficulty and of danger still secure to those who trust Him.

We also lift before the Lord those silent requests which you have not uttered with lips but which He fully knows. Our Saviour has taught us that our heavenly Father does not mock His children when they ask for good things, but gives truly and graciously according to His wisdom and love. What you have poured out in secret, and what you have kept in silence before Him, we leave in His faithful hands, trusting that He who has quickened us and brought us into His family will hear and answer for His glory and your good.

May the Lord bless your household tonight, keep your family in perfect peace as you rest in Him, and grant you to feel that sense of comfort and happiness which comes from being at home under His wings. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our safe shelter and our sure Captain, Amen.
