So my mom had a problem with work and I guess she no longer has insurance coming of December 1st. My mom works and my dad does not. She sas if they dont do something they might need to sell the house. Im so worried. I hope it doesnt hppen because I've been here my whole teenage years.

We hear how heavy this worry feels for you and we are bringing your family before the Lord together with you. It is understandable to feel anxious when you hear talk of losing insurance and possibly having to sell the house where you have spent your whole teenage years, but we want to remind you that our security is not ultimately in a house or a job, but in our heavenly Father who knows what we need.

The Word tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus also says, Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat, what will we drink or, With what will we be clothed For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you Matthew 6:31-33. And we cling to the promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.

We encourage you to cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you Psalm 55:22 and to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. Your home is precious, but even if the Lord allows a move, He will be with you there and He can work all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28.

We also want to gently encourage you in your place as a son or daughter in the home. God calls children to honor your father and mother Ephesians 6:1-2, which in this season means praying for them, speaking to them with respect and not adding to their burden with fear, and being willing to help in practical ways as they navigate this trial. We do not know why your father is not working, but Scripture teaches that provision for the household is a serious responsibility 1 Timothy 5:8 and that if anyone will not work, neither let him eat 2 Thessalonians 3:10. We pray together for your mother under this pressure and for your father that the Lord would open doors for work and for both of them to seek godly wisdom and unity in making decisions about insurance and the house. We encourage your family to seek counsel together, to make your needs known to your church family if you have one, and to seek the Lord together in prayer rather than carrying this anxiety alone.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray and find peace even in uncertain times.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this young one and their family to You. Lord, You see the need for insurance after December 1st, the financial strain, and the fear of having to sell their home. We ask for Your provision, for wisdom for their mother at work, and for open doors for their father to provide for his household as You have designed. Give this family unity, clear direction, and peace that surpasses understanding. Guard this young heart from fear and help them to trust You daily, to honor their parents, and to remember that You are their true refuge and home. We ask all this in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing these worries to the Lord each day, to talk honestly but respectfully with your parents about how you can pray and help, and to remember that even if circumstances change, God remains faithful and will not leave you.

We can hear how much this house means to you, and how unsettling it is to hear your mom talk about possibly needing to sell it. Having spent your whole teenage years there, it makes sense you would feel worried and unsettled right now.

One thing that can help when everything feels big at once is to gently sort what has already happened from what is still uncertain. The change with your mom's work and insurance on December 1st is real and present, and it is understandable your parents are looking at hard options. The possibility of selling the house is still a what if, something they are trying to prevent. Both feel heavy, but it can ease a little of the pressure to name which parts are happening now and which parts are fears about what might come, without brushing either one aside.

When you have a calm moment, it could help to ask your mom or dad if you can hear a bit more about what the next steps are and if there is any small, practical way you can help around the house while they work through options. If the worry is keeping you up at night or making it hard to focus at school, please reach out to a trusted adult there or in your family or church so you are not carrying it alone. We are carrying this with you in prayer.

Father, we bring this family to You in Jesus' name. You see their needs for work, insurance, and provision for their home, and You see the worry this teenager is carrying. Grant wisdom to their parents as they make decisions, give peace in the waiting, and help them sense Your care day by day. Amen.

Your request has been heard and your burden has been laid before the Lord with care and tenderness. To fear the loss of home and to see a mother pressed by work and the taking away of provision is a heavy trial, especially when those walls have held all your teenage years and hold many memories.

There is a word that meets your case, for the Lord Jesus said, Seek not what you shall eat or what you shall drink, neither be you of doubtful mind. Have you not found it to be true that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Anxiety does not pay the bill nor keep the roof over your head, but it wearies the heart and clouds prayer. What is needed is not a doubtful mind, but a trusting mind that casts all its care upon Him who cares for you.

You speak of mercies in the family, mercies to your body and mercies to your soul, and yet the temptation in such an hour is to carry the care alone and not to call upon the Lord. All God's children are a praying family, and the Lord would have you bring this matter to Him. Go to your chamber and spread it before Him. Tell Him of your mother's work, of the loss of insurance on the first of December, of your father's need of employment, of the fear that the house must be sold. He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows knows what you have need of before you ask Him.

Remember also that earth is our lodge and Heaven our home. It is right to love the home where you have been raised and to desire to remain, and we may lawfully pray for such a mercy. Yet our deepest comfort is not in walls and roofs but in the marvelous loving kindness of God, who has not only saved His people from sin but adopted them into His own family and set upon them a crown of tender mercies. If He were in one moment to take all your guilt away and to give you peace with Himself through simple and sincere faith in the crucified Christ, that would be the greatest wonder. Seek first that settled peace with God, and then trust His providence for all lesser things.

Therefore I pray for you and for your house, that the Lord would show forth His marvelous loving kindness to you. May He provide for your mother and open a door of provision for your father, may He give wisdom to your parents in counsel and in stewardship, and may He keep you from a doubtful and distracted heart. May He make your home a house of prayer, where mercies on the table and mercies in the family lead you to call upon His name together.

Cast your burden upon the Lord and wait upon Him. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above what you ask or think, and whether He keeps you in this house or leads you to another, He will not forsake those who trust Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
