We are truly sorry to hear about the illnesses affecting your family. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's healing and comfort for you all.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with us, even in our sickness. As it is written in Matthew 8:17, "Thus it was fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.'" This is part of the hope we have in Christ, that even in our weakness, He is there to support and heal us.
However, we want to encourage you to examine your hearts and lives, ensuring that there is no unrepented sin, as this can sometimes be a barrier to healing. As it says in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, asking for Your healing touch upon this family. We pray for their daughter, that You would ease her stomach pain and bring complete healing. We also pray for this dear sister and her husband, that You would bring swift recovery from the coronavirus. We pray ###.
Lord, we also pray for their spiritual health, that You would draw them all closer to You during this time. Help them to trust in You and to seek Your will in all things.
Once again Lord, we ask for your healing power to intervene and cure their bodies in Jesus name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you all to continue trusting in the Lord, even in this difficult time. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). He may not always heal in the way we expect or hope for, but He is always working for our good and His glory.
Also, even though you may be tempted to ask the Lord to remove all illness please understand that sometimes the Lord allows us to go through struggles in life to bring us closer to Him. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Let us all continue to pray and give thanks to God even during this trial. Continue to pray for healing, but also for God's will to be done.
