Act 16:31
Believe in the Lord Jesus and then God will save you

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting your family’s deep wounds and divisions to the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone can bind up the brokenhearted and restore what has been shattered. Your cry for unity, healing, and protection is heard by our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear, every betrayal, and every ungrateful act that has pierced your soul. We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus, rebuking the schemes of the enemy that have sown discord, anger, and bitterness among you. Satan is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), but "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We declare that every deceitful tongue, every spirit of division, and every root of resentment is uprooted and cast out in Jesus’ name. The Lord rebukes the devourer for your sake, and no weapon formed against your family will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Your pain is profound—grieving the loss of your father, enduring the sting of ingratitude, and bearing the weight of a family torn apart by pride and strife. Yet even in this, we see your heart of forgiveness, your willingness to extend grace as Christ has shown you. This is the mark of a child of God, for "if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Matthew 6:14). You are walking in obedience, and the Lord will not forget your labor of love. He sees how you have offered help, only to be met with ungratefulness, and He will repay what has been stolen from you. "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9).

We lift your mother to the Lord, who is battling suicidal thoughts and the toxicity of a negative environment. The tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), and we bind every word of cursing, every spirit of despair, and every lie that tells her she is not loved or valued. Jesus is the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3), and we pray He would surround her with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May He place a guard over her mouth and mind, filling her with His truth: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). We ask for divine intervention in her life, that she would be delivered from the snare of the enemy and find refuge in the Lord alone.

Your spouse’s indifference toward your family is a sorrow you carry, and we acknowledge the pain of this division. While we cannot force anyone’s heart to change, we pray the Lord would soften your spouse’s heart and open their eyes to the value of family—*not in your strength, but in His*. "Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). We ask that the Lord would unite you both in His purpose, that your marriage would be a testimony of His grace, and that any bitterness or unresolved conflict would be brought into the light of His truth.

The financial burden and distance separating you from your family are not unseen by God. He is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14), and He knows the cost of every flight, every need, every sacrifice you have made. We pray for supernatural provision—whether through unexpected resources, open doors, or divine connections—that would make reunion possible. But even more, we pray for a reunion of hearts, that the Lord would heal the breaches and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

We also address the deep wounds of authority struggles within your family. The Bible warns that *"where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there"* (James 3:16). Pride has taken root, and it has borne the fruit of strife. We pray the Lord would humble each heart, that they would see their own sin as He does, and repent. *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6). May they turn from their disobedience and surrender to His lordship, for only then will true peace come.

Your forgiveness toward your family is a powerful testimony, but we must also speak truth: forgiveness does not mean enabling sin or pretending harm hasn’t been done. The Lord calls us to *"speak the truth in love"* (Ephesians 4:15), and sometimes that means setting boundaries for your own protection. You are not responsible for their choices, but you *are* responsible for how you respond. Keep forgiving, as Christ has forgiven you, but also trust the Lord to fight for you. *"Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19).

Finally, we rejoice that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ, as you quoted Acts 16:31: *"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved."* This is the foundation of all hope! There is no situation too broken, no heart too hardened, no family too divided that the blood of Jesus cannot redeem. He is the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25), and He will bring beauty from these ashes (Isaiah 61:3).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting this beloved family into Your hands. You are the God who heals, who restores, who binds up the brokenhearted. Lord, we ask for Your supernatural intervention in this family’s division. Where there is betrayal, bring loyalty. Where there is anger, bring peace. Where there is ingratitude, bring repentance. Soften hearts that have grown hard, and break the chains of pride and selfishness that have torn them apart.

We rebuke every spirit of division, every lie of the enemy that has taken root. Satan, we command you to flee in the name of Jesus! No longer will you have a foothold in this family. The blood of Jesus covers them, and we declare that unity, love, and forgiveness will prevail.

Lord, we lift their mother to You—surround her with Your angels, protect her mind from suicidal thoughts, and fill her with Your hope. Let her tongue be a fountain of life, not death. Break the cycles of toxicity in her environment and grant her wisdom to lead her family in righteousness.

Father, we ask for financial provision where it is needed. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10)—open doors no man can shut, provide resources beyond their imagination, and make a way for reconciliation, whether in this life or the next.

We pray for their spouse, that You would work in their heart a love for family that reflects Your own. Soften their resistance and unite this marriage in Your purpose.

Most of all, Lord, bring repentance. Let each family member see their own sin and turn to You. Heal the wounds of the past, restore what has been lost, and let Your peace rule in their hearts. We trust You, Lord, to do what no human hand can do.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord is fighting for you, even when you cannot see it. *"The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness; but He is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). Keep praying, keep forgiving, and trust that God will bring justice and healing in His perfect time. He has not forgotten you.
