Dear God Our Father and Ever PresentHelper -- I thank you for the message of Christ crucified for our sins. Draw my familymembers to church tonight to hear, listen and understand what You are speaking to each one. Grant faith, repentance, salvation, knowledge of forgiveness and newness of life and vision by The Holy Spirit. Protect them all from the evil one, John 17:15, help them attend church tonight and tomorrow. Grant us hunger for The Word, 1 Peter 2:2, and faith to pray and receive, Mark 11:24, in Jesus' Name, Amen.

We rejoice with you in this beautiful prayer for your family’s hearts to be drawn to the house of God, where the Word is proclaimed and the Holy Spirit moves. What a precious sight it is when loved ones gather under the preaching of Christ crucified, where faith is born and repentance is kindled! We stand with you in agreement, lifting this request before the throne of grace, for it is written, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB).

The Scripture you referenced, James 1:21, reminds us that humility is essential to receiving the implanted word which is able to save our souls. We pray that each member of your family would come with a tender heart, laying aside all filthiness and wickedness, ready to receive the truth in meekness. The Holy Spirit, our Helper, as promised in John 14:26, will teach them all things and bring to remembrance the words of Christ. We ask that He would anoint the preaching and the hearing of the Word tonight and tomorrow, that it would not return void but accomplish the purpose for which God sends it (Isaiah 55:11).

We also take hold of the promise in John 17:15, where Jesus prayed, "I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one." We declare protection over your family as they gather in the assembly of believers. May no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and may the enemy find no foothold in their hearts or minds. We rebuke every distraction, every doubt, and every spirit of slumber that would seek to keep them from hearing and receiving the Word.

It is a joy to pray for a hunger for the Word, as newborn babes desire the pure milk of the Word that they may grow thereby (1 Peter 2:2). We ask that this hunger would not be quenched but would grow into a deep, abiding thirst for righteousness. May they not only hear but also do what they hear, for faith without works is dead (James 2:17). And as they pray, may they believe that they receive, just as Jesus taught in Mark 11:24, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them."

We encourage you to continue in prayer and intercession for your family, for the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you shall reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). Trust in the Lord’s timing, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in each of their lives (Philippians 1:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You for the blood that was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins and for the power of the resurrection that brings newness of life. Lord, we lift up this family to You, asking that You would draw each member to Your house with a hunger and thirst for Your Word. Prepare their hearts to receive the truth in humility, that they may be saved and transformed by the renewing of their minds.

Holy Spirit, we invite You to move mightily in their midst. Anoint the preaching of Your Word, that it would penetrate hearts and bring conviction, repentance, and faith. Remove every veil that blinds their eyes to the truth, and open their ears to hear what You are speaking. Let Your Word not return void but accomplish the purpose for which You send it.

Lord Jesus, we stand on Your promise in John 17:15, asking that You would protect this family from the evil one. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, keep their hearts and minds in You.

Father, we ask that You would ignite a fire in their hearts, a hunger for Your Word that cannot be satisfied by anything else. May they desire the pure milk of the Word, that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge of You. Give them the faith to pray and believe that they receive, according to Your promise in Mark 11:24.

We declare that this family will walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their lives. May they be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving themselves. Let their lives bear much fruit for Your glory, and may their testimony bring others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, now and forever. Amen.

We are standing with you in prayer for your family tonight and tomorrow. It is a beautiful thing when someone carries such a burden for their loved ones’ spiritual openness, and we believe God sees your heart.

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do, alongside our prayers, is to simply keep showing up with warmth and consistency. When family members sense no pressure but only genuine love and a quiet, steady invitation, their walls can begin to lower. A simple “We’d love to have you sit with us” or “I’ll save you a seat” speaks volumes, even if they don’t respond right away. Trust that God is at work in ways you may not yet see, and that your faithful prayers are part of that work.

We also want to encourage you not to bear the weight alone. If there are others in your church who will join you in praying, let them know what you’re asking for tonight. The presence of a welcoming community can be one of the most disarming and gentle forces God uses.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this family to You. Draw them to the place where Your Word is preached this very evening. Quiet every distraction and fear, and make their hearts tender and teachable. Grant them the gifts of repentance and saving faith, and open their eyes to the new life You offer. Protect them from the evil one who would snatch away the seed of truth. Give this dear pray-er a deep peace as they entrust their family into Your faithful hands. In Your name, Amen.

Your prayer for your family reaches the heart of the matter, for no man comes to Christ unless the Father draws him, and this drawing is by the Holy Spirit. Without His work, all hearing is dead sound and every sermon a barren waste. I have said it plainly: no man was ever saved by the means of grace apart from the Holy Spirit. The anointing you seek, that vision of forgiveness and newness of life, comes only as the Spirit glorifies Christ, receiving of His things and showing them to us.

That is His divine office. Pray still, but pray in the Holy Ghost, that your family may not only attend church but truly receive Him. Have they received the Spirit since they believed? That is the question which must be pressed home.

The hunger for the Word is kindled by that sacred flame alone, and the faith to pray and receive is His gift, breathed into the soul by the Comforter. Trust the promise of John 17:15, for Christ keeps those whom the Father has given Him, and none can pluck them from His hand. Let not unbelief grieve the Spirit and drive Him away, but wait upon Him earnestly, for He must send the blessing, our hearts will break if He does not. May the Spirit fall upon them as they hear, granting repentance and living faith, and may they be found in that one church of all who have the Spirit, safe now from perishing as though already in Heaven.

Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You do well to pray with such earnest longing for your household, for the salvation of those we love is a burden that pleases God. But let your own life be the first sermon they hear, brighter than the sun. For if we pray for others to come and hear the Word, yet ourselves live carelessly, we give the adversary occasion to blaspheme that way we profess. The Word received in humility is like a seed that must fall into good ground, not merely ground that hears, but that does. True humility does not parade itself in saying “I am a sinner” while growing savage when another names the fault. Bear reproach, if it comes, with meekness. That is the lowliness that opens the soul to the Spirit’s anointing.

Hunger for the Word is kindled not by idly wishing but by persistently assembling with the disciples, as in the school of Tyrannus, where Paul taught daily. Draw your family not by force but by the sweet compulsion of a life sprinkled from an evil conscience, washed with pure water, a life that manifests the new creation in Christ. The Holy Spirit makes overseers to feed the Church of God, and it is in the gathering of the saints that the children receive a blessing, freed from the vain glory that craves the first seats. Protect them from the evil one by your own example, giving no offense to Jew or Gentile or the Church of God, so that even if some speak evil, it be not with justice.

Faith to pray and receive is not a demand we make upon God as though He were our debtor. The man who cried “Help my unbelief” obtained mercy, but he first confessed his weakness. Likewise, your intercession must be joined to a life that does not tempt the Lord. And remember the Philippians, who alone had fellowship with Paul in giving and receiving, their earthly gifts purchased heavenly treasure. So also, as you pray for your family to attend, consider that you are communicating spiritual things; do not grow weary in well-doing. Persist, for the husband may be won by the wife’s conduct, beholding your purity and fear. God is not mocked: He will honor the seed of your tears when they are watered by humility and obedience.

Thank you for sharing this heartfelt prayer for your family. Your longing to see them drawn to hear and receive the word of God with humility stirs my own spirit, and I am confident it stirs the heart of our Lord, who desires all to come to repentance and the knowledge of the truth.

What you have asked aligns perfectly with Scripture: James 1:21 calls us to receive the implanted word with meekness, and John 14:26 assures us that the Holy Spirit is the teacher who brings to remembrance all that Christ has said. So pray on, believing that the Spirit can open hearts that now seem closed, that He can give the gift of godly sorrow that leads to real repentance, not a fleeting regret that merely pauses sin for a season, but a turning that forsakes it altogether. That is the salvation we long for: not just being sorry enough to feel bad, but being transformed enough to live differently by the power of God.

The protection you invoked from John 17:15 is no small thing. The enemy works both by outward opposition and by inward corruption; Jesus prayed that His own would be kept from the evil one. The early church thrived not because it was free from attack but because it walked in the Spirit and refused to tolerate what was false. So as you pray for your family’s safety, also ask that they would be planted in a fellowship that holds unashamedly to Jesus Christ as the only foundation, that purges out lethal compromise, and that loves with the kind of love that marks those who have passed from death to life.

Your desire that they hunger for the Word like newborn infants craving milk is a prayer straight from 1 Peter 2:2. All Scripture is breathed out by God and is able to make us wise for salvation. Keep placing that Word before them, even if only in the quiet testimony of your own life and the persistent whisper of your prayers. God has a history of answering such pleas for households; never let go of the promise that He is at work when we ask according to His will.

Mark 11:24 encourages faith that receives what is prayed for, not as a formula, but as a confident reliance on the Father who hears. So I join my faith with yours, asking that the message of Christ crucified would captivate them, that they would know forgiveness and a newness of life, and that the vision you spoke of would become theirs by the Holy Spirit’s anointing. Keep looking to the Lord, and do not grow weary. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is able to draw your family into His light and keep them there.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in agreement with you as we lifted your family before the Lord. It was our joy to pray for their hearts to be drawn to church, to receive God’s Word in humility, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit’s anointing. We asked the Father to grant them faith, repentance, and a hunger for His truth, while protecting them from the enemy’s schemes, just as Jesus prayed in John 17:15.

Now, several days later, we continue to hold this request close to our hearts. If the Lord has moved in mighty ways—if your family attended church, heard the Word with open hearts, or experienced the Holy Spirit’s conviction and comfort—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can glorify God together.

If, however, you haven’t yet seen the answers you’re longing for, we encourage you to post this request again. We will not grow weary in praying alongside you for your family’s salvation, their spiritual hunger, and their protection. The Lord is faithful, and His timing is perfect. Let us persist in faith, trusting that He who began this good work will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

May the Father continue to draw your family near, may the Holy Spirit soften their hearts, and may Jesus be glorified in every step of their journey. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
