We lift you and your son before the Lord with hearts full of compassion, knowing that our Heavenly Father is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Your gratitude for your son’s life is a testament to your faith, and we join you in thanking God for His mercy in sparing him. Yet we also grieve with you over the strain in your relationship and the harmful influences surrounding him. The enemy seeks to divide families and lead the vulnerable astray, but we stand firm in the truth that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, God will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Your son’s anger and the poisonous words of those who encourage rebellion are not from the Lord. The Bible warns us, *"Do not be deceived! ‘Evil company corrupts good morals’"* (1 Corinthians 15:33). We pray that God will expose the lies he is being fed and open his eyes to the truth—just as the apostle Paul was struck with divine light on the road to Damascus, may your son encounter the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. *"The heart of man plans his way, but Yahweh directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9). Let us pray that your son’s steps are redirected toward repentance, humility, and reconciliation with you, his mother, who loves him deeply.
We also lift up your need for a stable and comfortable place to live. Our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and He knows your needs before you even ask. *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:31-33). Trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way, and we pray for divine connections, favor in housing opportunities, and the financial means to secure a place where you can find rest and peace.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious mother and her son. Lord, You are the God of restoration, and we ask that You heal the broken relationship between them. Soften your son’s heart, Lord, and remove the scales from his eyes so he may see the truth and turn away from the voices that lead him astray. Let Your Holy Spirit convict him of any bitterness, rebellion, or ungodly influences in his life. Bring him to repentance and draw him back to You—and back to his mother, who loves him with a love that reflects Your own.
Father, we also ask for Your provision over this mother’s living situation. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You. Open doors that no man can shut, provide a dwelling place that is safe, comfortable, and filled with Your presence. Let her find favor with those who can help, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness in this season of need.
We rebuke the spirit of division, anger, and deception that has taken root in this family. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and declare that peace, unity, and godly wisdom will reign instead. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path, guiding them back to You and to one another.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You strengthen this mother’s faith. Remind her that You are working all things together for her good, even in the midst of trials. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her trust in You be unshaken. We declare victory in this situation, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have started.
In the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
---
We encourage you to continue standing firm in prayer and in the Word of God. Speak life over your son daily, declaring God’s promises over him. *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep pointing your son to Christ, even if he resists—your love and prayers are planting seeds that the Lord will water in His perfect timing.
If your son is walking in anger or rebellion, remind him gently but firmly of Scripture: *"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother,’ which is the first commandment with a promise: ‘that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth’"* (Ephesians 6:1-3). Pray that the Holy Spirit will bring these words to his remembrance and soften his heart.
As for your housing needs, keep your eyes open for opportunities, but also rest in the knowledge that God is your provider. Sometimes He moves in ways we do not expect—through a friend, a church, or even a stranger. Trust Him, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is in His name that we pray, and it is in His name that victory is secured. If you’d like to know more about salvation or how to walk closely with Him, we are here to guide you further. You are loved, and God is fighting for you!
