The Bible says,"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor".Now one thing I've been on the receiving end of myself,is when someone has a problem, they blame me for being the cause of it.{Like, making a scapegoat of me.}Examples, I have a neighbor who has health problems the last several months, so he asks me to ride his car around the lot so the battery does'nt get weak, etc. Then yesterday when I was going to bring it into the dealer to do tinting,it wouldn't start. He called the auto club, who saw the battery was dead, and couldn't be jump started, because the brake light was not able to be turned off, because the "clip" came loose. It was noones fault, a mechanical glitch. But wouldn't you know, after helping this guy with everything when he's unwell, he blamed me for killing the battery!!{I helped him out, then when something goes wrong,I'm the scapegoat}.Other cases, my mother does this, too, if something goes wrong, she starts "blaming" this one and that, and they had nothing to do with it.{She's blamed me,or "made me the scapegoat'when things go wrong.I've seen people blame politicians they don't like for things they had nothing to do with.I think they do this because if things go wrong, it soothes their "ego" to blame someone else. I've had people accuse me of lying when I wasn't.Now here's the thing...is this "making scapegoats", and false accusations a sin,or somehow one of the works of the flesh?I would say, because we're told of the devil, he's the "ACCUSER of the bretheren".What does the devil do before God?He ACCUSES us,So these people with their false accusations and "scapegoating", isn't that a sin? I would think so. Do you?
