Sadly, those who scream “fake news,” the loudest, are most often, the very ones who plant the seeds of such rotten fruit, in an effort to create deterrence from the truth by sowing discord among brethren.
We may be able to persuade many men; even the highest of religious men in the land, because they are, yet, but mere men; we can never deceive God. GOD IS OMNISCIENT and He is no respecter of man. He knew us before we were knitted in our mother’s womb. Regardless of how high our office, or how prominent our position, God will deal with us: “Accordingly, according to their deeds, I will repay my adversaries.”
We have the option to choose integrity. Not only do we defile our position, we likewise show reckless disregard for those who trust us, in good faith, for unbiased reporting. But, without a doubt, and most egregiously so, we show unimaginable disdain for the one who made our careers possible in the first place. Yes, I know we may think we did it all on our own; and that our education and connections got us where are; that is, until God snatches the rug from underneath us, do we then realize that we are not in control. And, while we don’t want to give Him credit for the blessing, we never hesitate to blame Him for taking it away: Job 1:21 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Either we believe in Him or we don’t, yet even if we don’t: Philippians 2:9-11 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. At the end of the day, it is our choice, but knowing that God is so kind, to even give us choice, why would we want to provoke Him to anger. Trust me, that’s not something we’re going to want to continue to do. Choose INTEGRITY!
Even under the best of circumstance and given the most in-depth fact checking, inaccurate news, can, unfortunately, sometimes be innocently reported. That’s the nature of the competitive beast that our society has created. Yet, that’s much different from intentionally, misleading viewers to instill bias. Those who manufacture deception are the real culprits of fake news, or more aptly, “HATE NEWS.” It doesn’t matter how big of a, pasted on, smile is flashed in the midst thereof, it’s mean spirited and hateful. Embodied in such folly, is the devil’s playground (he’s playing you); for he takes great pleasure in watching us dangle over the lake of fire. BUT GOD, not only despises the devil’s deceits; He loves us so much that, even though we deny Him, by choosing to make ourselves a prey to the devil, through the deception of our speech, He extends His hand that we might be rescued from the clutches of the one whose ultimate plan is only to destroy us. What kind of God is that?! We gotta acknowledge that kind of grace. HE’S SO GOOD.
Isaiah 9:17 17 and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.”
Matthew 6:12-13 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL ONE.
AMEN? . . . AMEN!!!
Commentary: Jesus came to set us free from sin, yet we re-bind ourselves each time we revisit sin. BUT GOD, when we turn from sin and allow Him to navigate our lives, will once again remove our shackles. We’ll be so free, God will literally give us a new song and dance. People will behold you with the same peculiarity as when they see me (LOL, just kidding. Don’t panic, come back - that’s just my praise, He’ll give you your own. But, I’m not shy about it, as long as it’s pleasing to Him, ‘um good ). Y’all just don’t know though . . .
