We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for His unchanging faithfulness, as Lamentations 3:23 reminds us, "They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Your prayer reflects a deep longing to shift focus toward the new things God is doing, as Isaiah 42:9 declares, "Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up." We join you in seeking God’s mercy and grace to embrace this transition with wisdom and purpose.
Father, we lift up the need for personal devotion, study, and care for those under spiritual guidance. Strengthen us in our teaching and discipleship, as 1 Timothy 4:16 exhorts, "Pay attention to yourself and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord." While we continue to pray for the salvation of those from past relationships, as Romans 10:1 urges, we ask for grace to release what lies behind and press forward toward the upward call in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14). Help us to prioritize the work You have set before us, meeting the needs of Your people and advancing Your kingdom.
Lord, we seek inner healing and restoration, asking You to create in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) and renew the joy of our salvation (Psalm 51:12). Open doors for evangelism, fellowship, and counseling, as Revelation 3:7-8 promises, "He who opens and no one can shut... I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut." We thank You for the provision of quiet and affordable lodging, and we ask for Your continued blessing on our aging patriarchs and matriarchs. Grant them strength in practical and spiritual matters, and help us honor them as Scripture commands (1 Timothy 5:4, Romans 13:7, Ephesians 6:2-3).
We offer ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to You (Romans 12:1-2), and ask that You empower us to glorify You in all we do. Help us to set things in order (Titus 1:5), complete every task (Revelation 3:2), and meet pressing needs (Titus 3:14). Father, we long to run the race set before us with endurance (Hebrews 12:1-2), laying aside every weight and distraction that hinders us from making disciples and abiding in Your Word.
Protect us from temptation (Luke 11:4), sin (Zephaniah 3:13), evil (Matthew 6:13), and the schemes of the evil one (John 17:15). We pray for full repentance and trust in Christ for those who do not yet know Him, especially the prodigals, that they may be saved early and nurtured in Your Word (2 Timothy 3:15). Above all, grant us the grace to focus on the new things You are doing (Isaiah 43:19, 48:6), that we may walk in step with Your Spirit and fulfill Your purposes.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in our lives as it is in heaven. Amen.
