Faith

All of my life, I have been taught about faith, oftentimes referring to the scripture in Hebrews, Faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen. I have lived by my faith in every area of my life and have never been disappointed. In the last year, I have become more challenged in my faith than ever. In every challenge and experience in my life, I always reached to God and said, "it's me and you daddy. Let's do this." While this may sound comical, this was my way of letting him know that I was trusting him through the process every step of the way. And, each time, he showed up and showed out. I am in this Christian of business owners and shared my faith. I recall sharing the story about Harriet Tubman. Her faith story was so intriguing. She never moved or acted without direction from God. Not one runaway slave under her direction was caught. Surprisingly, these men of God could not believe it. Just as I have shared in my own world and my own testimony, they look at me sideways. This has become troubling to me. This last year, I have had to face numerous challenges in my business, cash flow the most critical. My business has been upside down. Banks keep rejecting my plans. People (to include Christians) have not been there. I'm still standing. I continue to believe that God will do what he says that he will do. I have deliberately separated myself from those that (with money) want to diminish my faith in God. Yet, I don't want to miss God's divine grace through my ego getting in the way. I am praying for humility. I am praying for God's clear direction. I am praying for a financial breakthrough. I am praying for a Christian investor . . . someone who (too) walks in faith, not by sight. To God be the glory for all the things he has done!
