We must also address the sin of greed and exploitation that is evident in this situation. Scripture warns, "Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by injustice; who uses his neighbor’s service without wages" (Jeremiah 22:13). Your employer’s actions are not just unfair—they are sinful, and we pray that God would convict their heart and bring them to repentance. If they continue in this unrighteousness, we trust that God will deal with them according to His justice. It is disheartening to see others receive blessings while you are overlooked, but we serve a God who sees your needs and promises to supply them. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that God would move in the hearts of those who have abundance to be generous, whether through unexpected gifts, bonuses, or opportunities to earn extra income. May He provide not just the $50 you mentioned, but every dollar you need to cover your expenses and experience His provision in tangible ways.
Your prayer mentions drawing near to the cross and needing Jesus every hour, and we rejoice in your dependence on Him. We rebuke the spirit of greed and exploitation in this workplace, and we ask that You would convict those who are acting unjustly. Bring them to repentance, Lord, and let them see the error of their ways. For our brother, we pray that You would strengthen his faith and remind him of his worth in You. Help him to trust in Your timing and Your provision, even when circumstances are difficult.
