Your faith and gratitude in this season of waiting is itself a pleasing offering to God, and I thank Him for the trust you express even while the promises you have claimed have not yet been seen fulfilled.

Scripture teaches that patience is shown not in two or three days, but over much time, and that faith is not a fleeting feeling but being fully persuaded that what God has promised He is able also to perform. To hold such faith is to glorify Him, for you form a right understanding of His boundless power and majesty and you rest upon His word more firmly than upon any human reasoning. This is the faith of the patriarchs, who died in faith not having obtained the promises on earth, yet they endured because they looked to what God had prepared beyond what is seen.

Therefore do not grow weary while you wait. Patience and hope strengthen one another, and both are nourished and comforted by the Scriptures. Let the word of God steady you within and without, so that your patience may remain firm and immovable whether in blessing or in affliction. To wait with patience for Christ, to endure without being troubled, is itself a way of loving Him.

I pray for you now, that the Lord who is faithful will keep your heart established in hope, that He will deepen your gratitude each day, and that He will pour out upon you according to His perfect wisdom and timing every blessing that draws you closer to Christ. May He grant you strength to continue to glorify Him by trusting His promises for what is present and for what is still to come, and may you abide in His peace until you see His goodness fulfilled.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and salvation, amen.

Your expression of faith and gratitude is encouraging, and it is good to hear your desire to stand firm while you wait and to give thanks openly.

Scripture describes faith as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. That is not so much a textbook definition as a description of what faith does. It gives present reality to a future hope and gives confidence in what our eyes cannot yet see. True faith therefore looks beyond immediate feelings or circumstances and rests on what God has said.

That is why the examples in Scripture are so helpful for someone in a season of waiting. Many who are held up as heroes of faith died in faith without having received the fulfillment of all that was promised to them in this life. They had seen the promises from a distance and embraced them, confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth and desiring a better country, a heavenly one. Abraham looked for a city which has foundations, whose maker and builder is God, and God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. Their waiting did not mean their faith had failed or that God had failed. It meant their hope was set on the permanent home God has promised in His eternal kingdom, which is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. So your waiting is not a sign that you lack faith. Patient waiting is often the very place where faith is proved and strengthened.

It is also important to remember that in Scripture the same genuine faith sometimes leads to great victories and deliverance, and at other times leads to hardship and suffering for the sake of that faith. Faith in God is not an automatic guarantee that we will not suffer or that every promise we claim will be delivered in the way or timing we expect. What faith does guarantee is that God counts that trust for righteousness. As with Abraham, who believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness, so God counts your faith in Jesus Christ for righteousness. You become a child of God and a child of Abraham by faith in Christ, and that relationship is not earned by works or by a level of holiness or commitment. It is received by faith as a gift of grace, and on that basis God pours out His blessing. He blesses because He is gracious, not because we have earned a reward.

A genuine faith will show itself in life. It is proved over time and will produce fruit and works that demonstrate it is living and real. That proving is not for God to learn what is in your heart, for He already knows, but for you to see that your trust is real and to grow. Through faith and patience we inherit what God has promised. There are promises of forgiveness, love, grace and the transforming power of His Word that we enter into as we believe and continue to press in by faith, and there remains the fullness of His kingdom still to come when we look for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Keep giving thanks, for gratitude honors Him, and keep telling others of His goodness, but let your testimony be anchored in what Scripture clearly promises. The richest blessing God has given is not a visible shower in this life but the richness we have through Jesus Christ, the forgiveness of sins, the gift of His Spirit received by faith, and the hope of dwelling with Him forever. The floodgates of heaven in Scripture point to His gracious provision and ultimately to life in Christ, not to angels pouring literal rain. Your joy without an umbrella reflects a thankful heart, and that thankfulness is best directed to the Father for His excellent works toward His children in Christ, trusting Him to fulfill His Word in His perfect way and time.

May the Father strengthen you to not stagger at His promise through unbelief but to be strong in faith giving glory to God, fully persuaded that what He has promised He is able also to perform. May He establish your heart in patience as you wait, and may you know more deeply the blessing that is yours by grace through faith in Jesus, in whom you are counted righteous and for whom a city is prepared.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have been blessed by your faith and gratitude.

We rejoice with you as you stand in faith waiting for the promises you have claimed to be delivered and we are encouraged by your testimony of telling everyone who will listen about the blessings of God. We love how you described the pouring rain as Gods angels opening up the floodgates of Heaven and your desire to let it rain all over you and your life without even carrying an umbrella. We continue to stand with you in that beautiful expectation that God will pour out His abundance on those who believe, as Malachi 3:10 reminds us that He will open the floodgates of heaven and pour out blessing, and we pray that you will remain steadfast as you wait, for Hebrews 10:23 tells us to hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for He who promised is faithful.

We are praying that the Lord will honor your faith, keep your heart filled with gratitude, and let His blessings rain down upon you in His perfect timing and in His perfect way.

If your request was answered and the promises you have been claiming have been delivered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice and give God the glory with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet and you are still waiting, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray that God will strengthen you and fill you with peace and joy as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. May God bless you abundantly as you trust Him.

We ask all of this in Jesus Name, Amen.
