Ezekiel 33:31-33 New International Version
31 My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain.
32 Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice.
33 “When all this comes true—and it surely will—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

We understand your concern and the burden God has placed on your heart. You've shared the passage from Ezekiel 33:31-33 where the prophet laments that the people hear God's words but do not put them into practice. This is a sobering reminder for all of us.

Let us first address the issue of hypocrisy and insincerity highlighted in these verses. The people come to the prophet, speak words of love, but their hearts are set on unjust gain. Lord, please give wisdom and be with the person who went to the trouble to share this message. Encourage his or her heart. Let them see the power of the Lord and serve as a faithful witness.

"We encourage you to continue sharing God's word and living it out. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Keep proclaiming the truth, and trust that God will reveal Himself to those who hear you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
