Beloved of All
Asking prayer for healing and restored health of eyesight following retina surgery, thank you in Jesus name, amen

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious request for healing and restoration of eyesight following retina surgery. Heavenly Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You see every detail of this situation, and we trust in Your power to restore what has been damaged.

Lord, we ask that You would touch these eyes with Your healing hand. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim this promise over this situation, believing that You are able to bring complete restoration. We pray that the surgery would be successful in every way, that the retina would heal perfectly, and that vision would be fully restored. Strengthen the nerves, tissues, and muscles of the eyes, and remove any inflammation or complications that may arise.

We also pray for peace and patience during this time of recovery. Help this dear one to rest in Your care, knowing that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Guard their heart from fear or anxiety, and fill them with hope as they wait on You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Father, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or hindrance that would seek to delay or prevent this healing. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this truth in faith. May this testimony of Your healing power bring glory to Your name and draw others closer to You.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May this healing be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy, and may it lead to a deeper walk with You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We thank you for sharing this with us. Recovery from retina surgery can be a disorienting time, your vision is central to so much of daily life, and waiting for it to settle and heal takes patience and a steady heart. We’re joining our prayers with yours, asking the Lord to restore and strengthen your eyesight in His perfect way and timing.

While you wait, be gentle with yourself. Your doctor has given you specific post-surgery instructions, resting your eyes, avoiding strain, using any prescribed drops, and keeping your follow-up appointments. These are part of God’s care for you through the hands of those He has gifted with medical skill. It’s not a small thing to faithfully do the next wise thing, even when progress feels slow.

Many people find it helpful during this season to fill their mind with what feeds their spirit without taxing their eyes, listening to the Psalms read aloud, soft worship music, or simply sitting in silence with the Lord, offering Him the ache of waiting. One practical step you might welcome: have a loved one read a comforting passage to you, or play an audio Bible. Let the words wash over you without straining to focus. It’s a way of resting both body and soul.

We are not alone in this. Right now, we pause and lift you to the One who knit your eyes together. Lord Jesus, we ask You to touch this dear one’s eyes with Your healing power. Calm any anxiety, steady their hope, and let the progress of recovery exceed every expectation. Grant wisdom to the doctors and patience in the waiting. We entrust this healing to You, knowing that You are the giver of every good and perfect gift. May Your peace guard this heart and mind, and may renewed sight be a testimony to Your goodness. In Your name, amen.

To bring a matter of the eyes to the throne of grace is both natural and wise, for the same hand which restored the soul a hundred times will not be slack to touch the body with healing virtue. He restoreth my soul, that is the habit of His love, the melody of His dealings with the redeemed; and the restoration of the entire manhood follows, for every regenerated faculty grows strong when He is near. Your eyesight is no small member of that manhood, and He who took the fevered hand and lifted up the palsied frame will not despise the prayer that asks for clear vision.

Yet fix your hope on no other herb than the one plant of renown. There is no healing balm but the tree that grows in the Paradise of God, whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations. Not the surgeon’s knife, nor the apothecary’s draught, but the touch of the Incarnate One dispels the gloom. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and a single ray of His countenance can turn the night of dimness into morning. Look to Calvary, where pardon and healing flow as one stream; the same voice which said, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee, also commanded the cripple to rise and walk. Inward sight and outward sight are both gifts of the same grace.

If the return of natural vision tarries, murmur not that you are sick for a season. The child of God is already on the way to eternal health, where the eyes shall feast on the King in His beauty and never grow weary. The affliction of an hour is a light thing when set against the exceeding weight of glory that shall be revealed. Until then, abide under the healing leaves of His presence; the little things of Christ, a promise dropped like dew, a whisper of His Spirit, the memory of His mercies, carry restoring power. May you soon rise, like Peter’s mother, to minister with grateful hands, beholding in every clearer ray the hand that has girded you though you had not known it.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

This house of prayer is a spiritual surgery, and we bring your request before the Physician of souls and bodies. Let us not doubt His power, for He who touched Peter’s mother-in-law not only quenched her fever but restored her perfect health all at once, requiring no lingering convalescence. Yet the greater marvel is not a retina mended but a soul illumined. Do not seek signs as an end in themselves; seek the soul’s health.

You have learned that the whole world is arising from death; behold all now restored unto that better and more profitable sight. Learn to look chastely upon the things of God, and amend the eye of your heart. For darkness seems more suitable to those diseased in their eyesight, and they seek shaded rooms; so too with spiritual vision: we often wrap ourselves in the gloom of cares and fear. But the Master asks, “Do you want to be made whole?” That wholeness is more than partial health.

I have prayed with you that He who formed the eye might restore its function according to His will. But remember: He who is rich toward God has treasure the surgeon’s knife cannot touch. It is possible for a man to have perfect vision and yet dwell in great despondency; and it is possible for one whose sight is dim to see the Kingdom clearly. Heaven enters here, not by place but by disposition.

Therefore, as you wait upon the Lord for your bodily eyes, do not neglect the eye of faith. Let this trial become a salve. He who healed Epaphroditus to the joy of the faithful can raise you up also, and if He delays, it is that a greater health may take root.

The healing of the blind man at Bethsaida comes to mind when I read your request. Jesus led him outside the village, placed His hands on him, and asked what he saw. The man looked up and said he saw men like trees walking, blurry, indistinct shapes. So Jesus touched his eyes again, and then his sight was restored, and he saw every man clearly.

I have always found it significant that this is the only recorded case of a gradual healing in Jesus' earthly ministry. Not every healing is instantaneous. Some unfold in stages, and that does not make the work any less divine. The same Lord who could speak a word and make a healthy eye whole sometimes chooses a process, a recovery that steps forward over time. After a surgery like retina surgery, the body often needs that kind of step-by-step restoration.

Do not be discouraged if your vision is not yet what you hope it will be. The fact that healing can come through a surgeon’s skill, through the body’s God-given capacity to mend, through time and rest, all of that is still His doing. He is the one who established the processes of nature and who grants wisdom to those who practice medicine. I believe strongly in healing, and I believe that every part of your recovery, whether swift or slow, is under His care.

So I am praying for you. I am asking the Lord to touch your eyes again, so to speak, to bring clarity where things are still blurry, to strengthen what is weak, to complete the good work He has begun. May your sight be restored fully, and may you find peace in the waiting, knowing that your times are in His hands.
