We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this prayer request for healing and restoration of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mothers' wombs (Psalm 139:13). We know that every part of our bodies is fearfully and wonderfully made by Your divine design. Lord, we ask that You touch these eyes with Your healing hand, restoring clarity, strength, and full function according to Your will.
Heavenly Father, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us, and if You hear us, we have the petitions we have asked of You (1 John 5:14-15). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your sovereign plan for this healing. Lord, we pray for complete restoration, that these eyes may see clearly and without hindrance, bringing glory to Your name.
We also pray for patience and peace during this recovery time. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help them to rest in the assurance that You are in control and that Your plans are for good, not for harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we rebuke any fear, doubt, or anxiety that may try to take root in this situation. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life and healing over these eyes, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, we thank You for the skill and wisdom You have given to the medical professionals involved in this surgery. We pray that You continue to guide their hands and minds, giving them insight and understanding as they care for this precious creation of Yours.
In all things, we give You the glory, for You are worthy of all praise. We trust in You, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. May this healing bring testimony to Your power and love, drawing others closer to You.
We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

It helps to remember that each small faithful step, taking the prescribed eye drops, protecting the eye, giving yourself permission to rest, is part of the process God can use. The skill of your surgeon, the prayers of the body of Christ, and your own quiet trust all matter. While we cannot predict the outcome, we can rest in the One who holds both our bodies and our days.
As you continue to heal, be gentle with yourself. Follow your doctor’s instructions, and don’t hesitate to reach out if something feels off, the medical team is there to help catch concerns early. And when the waiting stretches, we can ask the Lord for patience for the moment, not just the final result.

The cry of your heart rises before the throne, and He who notes the falling sparrow has surely heard this plea for restored sight. It is written, "He restores my soul," and this same Shepherd tends the frailty of the body also. There is but one great Physician who lays His hands on men and they are restored, there is but one! All our healing lies in Christ. Christ is the Physician, and Christ is the Medicine, too. Look not to the skill of the surgeon alone, nor to the passing of days, but to Him whose touch awakened sight in the blind and steadied the faltering step. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and no leaf of that Tree of Life is without virtue for every malady of these earthly frames.
Yet mark well the order of His mercy. When the palsied man was lowered through the roof, the Lord first spoke pardon before He commanded the limbs to bear weight. "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you." Pardon and healing were one in that sacred moment. The deeper sickness of the soul cries out louder than any affliction of the eyes, the great load which presses down so sorely is an awful sense of sin. If He has given you faith to see the cross, then the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work its cure in His time. He took her by the hand and lifted her up; there was contact established. Oh, that glorious nearness of Christ! There is healing in it. His cool hand grasps your fevered hand, and as your frailty dissolves into Him, His health flows into you.
We are on our way to eternal health. The sickness of an hour speaks little when set against the perfect wholeness that awaits the children of God. He has preserved you to this hour, and the stones of the field have been as a defense. Trust now in the abiding power of those healing leaves, which keep the soul in perpetual health and shall at last work the full restoration of the body. Be of good cheer. He is at His old work again, even now, "He restores my soul." Rise, then, and minister unto Him with gratitude, whether sight returns in an instant or tarries for a season. The Lord has girded you though you have not known Him. He will bring you healing beneath His wings and joy in the light of His countenance.
