We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious request for healing and restored health of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:13-14). You see every detail of this situation, and we trust in Your power to restore what has been damaged.
Lord, we declare Your Word over this situation: "By His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on the promise that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You touch these eyes with Your healing hand, restoring clarity, strength, and full function. May every cell, nerve, and tissue align with Your perfect design, and may the surgery be followed by complete and lasting recovery.
We also pray for peace and patience during this time of healing. Help the one recovering to trust in You fully, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Guard their heart from fear or discouragement, and fill them with hope in Your faithfulness.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or delay in the name of Jesus. We declare that this healing is already accomplished through the finished work of Christ on the cross. May Your will be done, and may Your glory be revealed through this testimony of restoration.

He is at His old work again. Even now, He restores. The eye that has seen the surgeon's knife is not beyond the sight of Him who formed it. All our healing lies in Christ. Christ is the Physician, and Christ is the Medicine, too. There is one great Physician who lays His hands on men and they are restored, there is but one! And the very leaves of this Tree of Life are for healing; the least thing about Christ brims with restoring virtue. Your sight is precious, but His power is more so. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction; when He pardons, He makes whole. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and no darkness of the eye can withstand His dawn.
Welcome to pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus. He will bring you healing beneath His wings and joy in the light of His Countenance. His salvation will perfectly heal our bodies, whether now by a touch of His sovereign grace, or in that day when the inhabitant shall no more say, "I am sick." The healing virtue which His Grace infuses works till we are without spot or wrinkle. Do not look to your own fretting or striving to mend what He alone can restore. The way to get your soul, and your sight, restored is not to try to restore it yourself. He took Peter's mother by the hand and lifted her up; the contact was established, and the fever fled. Oh, get within a touch of Him, that you may be restored. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. So as you wait, let His teaching drop as the rain, for He links healing with the Word.

The Lord who touched Peter’s wife’s mother did not merely quench the fever but gave her back perfect health all at once, needing no long time to recover strength. Do not think His arm is shortened now. Trust that the same power which commanded the eye to be formed in the womb can complete the healing begun by the surgeon’s hand.
But remember, you asked for the sight of the body; do not neglect the sight of the soul. Many who have clear eyes see nothing as they ought, gazing with unchastity or envy, while the blind in body often possess the truest vision within. Seek therefore not merely to behold the light of the sun again, but to amend your inner eye, that you may look upon your neighbor with purity and mercy, and upon God with faith. The house of the Church is a spiritual surgery; here let the wounds of your soul be treated while you wait upon the body’s cure. For what profit is it to see the whole world clearly, and yet be darkened within by the love of money or the disease of pride? The rich man saw Lazarus plainly enough, yet his eyes availed him nothing against the fire. Pray then for the health of the body, but strive with far greater diligence for the health that raises up a man wholly, not partially undone. To bear whatever delay comes with patience and thanksgiving is a greater sign of healing than any swift recovery. Whether the light returns at once or later, let your heart already stand in heaven, where no darkness can ever come.
