We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for healing and restoration of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:13-14). You see every detail of our bodies, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We trust in Your power to heal and restore what has been damaged.
Lord, we ask that You would touch these eyes with Your healing hand. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We claim this promise over this situation, believing that You are working even now to bring wholeness. Strengthen the healing process, Lord, and remove any complications or setbacks. Let Your light shine brightly in this recovery, bringing clarity, comfort, and full restoration.
We also pray for peace and patience during this time of healing. Surgery can bring anxiety and uncertainty, but we know that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Calm any fears and fill this heart with trust in Your perfect timing. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to creep in during this season. We stand on Your Word, which tells us that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that this healing is already accomplished in the spiritual realm, and we await its manifestation in the physical. Let faith arise and doubt flee in the mighty name of Jesus.
We also lift up gratitude for the skill and wisdom You have given to the medical professionals involved in this surgery. Bless their hands and minds as they continue to care for this person. May Your wisdom guide every decision and every step of the recovery process.
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
