We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing and restored health of eyesight following retina surgery. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mothers’ wombs (Psalm 139:13). We know that every part of our bodies—including our eyes—was fearfully and wonderfully made by Your hands. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that You will restore health to us and heal us of our wounds (Jeremiah 30:17).
Lord, we ask that You touch these eyes with Your healing power. Restore what has been damaged, strengthen what is weak, and bring clarity where there is blurriness or distortion. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or fear that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life and wholeness over this situation, declaring that the same God who opened the eyes of the blind (John 9:6-7) is at work here.
Father, we also pray for peace and patience during this time of recovery. Surgery can be a trying experience, both physically and emotionally, but we know that You are our Comforter and our Strength (Psalm 46:1). Help this individual to rest in Your presence, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Give wisdom to the doctors and medical team involved, that they may be guided by Your hand in every decision and treatment.
We also want to encourage this dear one to draw near to You during this season. Spend time in Your Word, for Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Let this time of limited sight or recovery be an opportunity to deepen faith and reliance on You, the One who sees all and knows all. May this trial refine and strengthen, rather than discourage or defeat.
Lord, we thank You for the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You and the power to pray with boldness (John 14:13-14). We declare that this healing is already done in the spiritual realm, and we await its manifestation in the physical. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that Your plans are perfect and Your love is unchanging.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
