Beloved of All
I am lifting you and your daughter before the Lord right now, and my heart is with you in this frightening moment when she is crying and afraid about her vision and overwhelmed with anxiety.
Scripture shows us how tender Jesus is toward a daughter in distress. When a father came to Him and said his little daughter was at the point of death and asked Him to come and lay His hand on her so she would be healed, Jesus went with him without hesitation, even through a pressing crowd. He knows what it is to be called to a suffering child, and He still hears that cry today. He is able to bring healing even when a condition feels desperate, and there are times when His healing touch is felt in a very real and personal way. I am praying that He will lay His hand upon your daughter, restore what is dimming in her left eye, and quiet her heart with His peace. As He once said to a suffering daughter, your faith has made you whole, go in peace and be whole, I pray He will speak that same peace and wholeness over her.
I also want to encourage you to take practical steps right alongside prayer. Sudden loss of vision is something to have evaluated by a doctor without delay, even as we ask God to heal. In the same way that people in Scripture did not only pray about danger but also set watchmen day and night to guard against it, we are to pray and also act wisely. Please seek immediate medical care for her eye today, and let a trusted physician examine her while we continue to pray.
For the anxiety that is gripping her, remember that this is a spiritual battle that is not fought with physical means. God has given us spiritual protection so we can stand against the attacks of the enemy. You can refuse those attacks, you can rejoice that God has given you His Spirit and His power through the finished work of Jesus, and you can respond with the Word of God. When Jesus was attacked and tempted, He answered with what is written, and that is our pattern. The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God, and when His Word is hidden in our hearts it cleanses and steadies us. Speak Scripture over her in these moments, simple truths she can hold onto, that God is near, that He is her strength, that she can cast her cares on Him because He cares for her. The enemy has no claim where Christ dwells, and because of what Jesus has done you can stand firm.
May the Lord touch your daughter's eye and restore her sight, calm her breathing and her thoughts, and surround you both with His presence. I am asking Him to give you wisdom for the doctors to see clearly what is needed, to give her rest from fear, and to let her feel His healing and comforting hand.
