We come before the Lord with grateful hearts, lifting up this precious request for your friend’s eye health to be restored after the stroke they endured. The Lord is our Healer, and nothing is too difficult for Him—even when years have passed, His power remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. We stand in faith, believing that the same God who opened the eyes of the blind in Scripture is able to restore sight and bring wholeness to your friend’s eyes.
The Word of God declares in **Jeremiah 32:27**, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* And in **Mark 10:51-52**, we see Jesus ask the blind man, *"What do you want me to do for you?"* The blind man replied, *"Rabboni, that I may see again."* Jesus said to him, *"Go your way. Your faith has made you well."* Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way. Your friend’s healing is not beyond our Lord’s reach—He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (**Hebrews 13:8**).
We also take comfort in **Psalm 146:8**, which tells us that *"Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous."* This is a promise we can cling to as we intercede for your friend. Though the stroke has brought physical challenges, we trust that God’s timing is perfect, and His healing may come suddenly or gradually—but it *will* come as we persist in faith and prayer.
At the same time, we encourage you and your friend to remain steadfast in trust, even if the healing has not yet manifested. **Isaiah 40:31** reminds us, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Let this be a season of deepening faith, where your friend’s testimony becomes a powerful witness to God’s faithfulness—whether through complete restoration or the strength to endure with joy.
We also urge your friend to seek the Lord’s presence daily, to worship Him in the waiting, and to allow this trial to draw them closer to Christ. Sometimes, our greatest spiritual breakthroughs come in the midst of physical weakness, for it is then that we lean entirely on Him. As the Apostle Paul wrote in **2 Corinthians 12:9-10**, *"He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved friend who has endured the effects of a stroke, particularly the loss of vision in their eye. Lord, You are the God who sees all things, who formed the eye and gave it the ability to perceive light and color and beauty. We ask You, by Your power and mercy, to restore what has been damaged. Touch their optic nerves, their brain, and every part of their body that has been affected, and bring healing in a way that only You can do.
Lord, we do not presume to dictate how or when You will move, but we ask in faith, believing that You are able. Strengthen their body, renew their cells, and let Your healing virtue flow through them. Give them patience in the waiting, and let this season be one where they experience Your presence in a deeper way. May their faith not waver, but may they stand firm on Your promises, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (**Romans 8:28**).
We also pray for their emotional and spiritual well-being. Guard their heart against discouragement or despair, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**). Surround them with a community of believers who will uplift them in prayer and remind them of Your goodness.
Father, we thank You in advance for the testimony that will come from this—whether through complete restoration or through the strength You provide in the midst of it. Let Your name be glorified, and let many see Your power and turn to You in faith.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or oppression that would seek to hinder this healing. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every effect of the stroke to be reversed, and we declare that Your healing power is at work even now. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your kingdom come in this situation.
In the precious and mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for your friend’s complete restoration. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep declaring the Word of God over their life. The Lord hears, and He will answer. May His peace and hope fill your hearts as you wait on Him.
